question for the wrx guys

so my friend parted out his 07 wrx and gave me his qtp downpipe with the cutout, i have an 08 wrx sedan both cars are manual, so before i start taking anything apart, will it fit and will it work with a stock exhaust and if not what exhaust would you get for it cus im looking to invest in one anyways

Good question...one that I certainly cannot help you with. There is, however, a Subaru specific section. Just an FYI, not trying to bust your balls.

Moving this to the Subaru section, but I believe that the 08+ has different exhaust fitment so that downpipe wont fit on your car at all. You can verify this by going to a Subie exhaust company like Invidia or Cobb or whoever and seeing if they list their downpipes as 02+ or 02-07 and then a seperate one for 08+.

I don't think its going to fit. Like Troll said, the 08's have a different exhaust fitment.

IIRC, the 08 uses a similar downpipe as the Legacy. 04-07 WRX won't fit.
