bikers beware

this is news right from my old mans mouth, for those who do not know me my father is an officer and while on patrol today noticed that the state police now have sports bike units, on top of that they are hyabusas, they are just like the crown vics white with a black stripe and strobe lights, so for those of you tst'rs that ride bikes look out for them i will try to get some pics so u can see what they look like, also they only have 2 of them at the moment

im with jspek. While i think its a cool idea I dont think they'd ever do it. Whats the point? To catch some bikes that run? The danger to an officers life while on a 150mph chase it just too high for a couple of fleeing and evading charges. Even if the officer caught up, you cant pit a bike, and especially not while on a bike.

its bs, a 600 would be quick enough, most cops are old and have no skill on bikes, and they cant lean down with bullet proof vest, if u ever watch them ride harleys their backs are straight and stiff as a board.

if it is true im just waiting for a cop to kill himself on a bike.

hm..i dont really understand the point of cops being on bikes to begin with. Yea they can hide a little more...but they cant do anything if you run except wait for a car to join in.

Did you actually think about that post, or did you just take a dump on the keyboard and hit submit reply? Cuz that basically just a huge pile of ignorance and stupidity.

600s are way to small to put all the gear on, plus ride a 600 all day then ride a Busa all day and tell me which one you would rather have your ass on all day.

The most cops are old and have no motorcycle experience is such an obvious pile of dog **** I dont even need to post anything for that.

Cant lean because of a vest? This isnt MotoGP they are doing its highway patrol, a cops not going to drag knee to try and apprehend a suspect hes going to call it off way before that and just call the plate in. I use to ride with a full crash vest and spine protector and had zero problems dragging knee and bulletproof vests are lighter and allow more movement.

This takes the "Dumb posting by a TST member of teh Day" award.

Some of the state's riding programs are pretty intense, cop learn the proper way on laying down a bike BY DOING IT, and alot of other sick maneuvers.
