got rear ended..

hey i got rear ended but i didnt call the police because i knew the guy and the guy said hell fix it with his insurance so i called my insurance and put it on a claim but i put it on hold with all the info because ima call his insurance to claim it so i can get my car fixed from his insurance is this possible? and what happens when i dont have a police report but he admits to it

Nothing as far as the police go its an unreported claim. Im not an insurance guy but I have had people come into Headquarters after they were told that have to have a report to make a claim.. You will have to see how the insurance company handles this case.
