Any On-road Or Off Road RC Racers Here?

RC racing is a cool hobby I've been into for some years now. Looking for any RC racing peeps in the Tristate area who would be interested in running in a couple of racing series.

**Slasher short course offroad class

**Vintage Trans Am tour car racing series

I'm already in works with G-Force Hobbies here in N. Delaware (New Castle County) and the Sound of Tri-state (Claymont) in running these style of rc races.
The guys from the Six-Foot-Tiger team are opening up a serious Vintage Trans Am racing series for 09.

Both classes/ series are fun, and competitive...Best of all they will not break your piggy bank.

If interested just let me know...Shoot me your e mail so I can send you detailed info on both series, and some video footage.

Are these for nitro r/c's?

I have an Ofna Ravager that's stock and a HPI RS4 3 with an O.S. .18tz... Would any of these be able to race?

Yeah, Ray (coordinator/promotor) of the Six-Foot-Tiger team in South Jersey is going to run both electric and nitro in the Trans Am RC Series, but They're starting out with electrics first. Those guys are vets at this, and I can't wait to race with them.
As far as nitro in the local Trans Am Tour racing league that I'm directly the nitro cars would depend on the number of 4wd nitro drivers that would participate. I will check with the guys at G-Force hobbies to see what can be done. Until a bigger number of Nitro 4wds come out to run, I can even put in word for a mixed Class of nitro and electric trans am tour racing rides. Everything would have to meet Trans Am RC regulations other than that of the power plants....I want everyone to race and have fun.

Man, that Trans Am series sounds like fun...

I raced onroad, indoor and outdoor for 5 years. My last race was a Tamiya race last April in Maryland on the Coliseum at Hobbytown Frederick.

Just wanted to add a quick photo of some Vintage Trans Am RC Racing. Yep, its that door to door good old stuff. Yes, there's beating and banging...Yes, Paint will be traded, and yes your ride will show its battle scars...Thats the realistic FUN part of it all.

B.T.W. We're also thinking of adding an Import VS Domestic RC Racing series. This will be "basically" under the same spec rules as Vintage TA, with any style of Domestic or Import body integrated.

while i wont be entering those classes i would like to find more people to run at kranzels in lemoyne or any other 1/18 carpet indoor off-road tracks. I love 18th scale, its so much less expensive to be competitive and these little guys ****ing haul. Im currently running an rc18b and a mini-t(although the mini-t almost never gets used because nobody runs 2wd classes)

Getting_R_Done! ... Vintage Trans Am Series Ready!... Just a few more I's dotted and T's crossed and this little monster will be Dialed in!

Went out to the Blue Diamond Track today...Real good turn out, and it seemed like every car was hooking up real nice. The racing was fast, close and competitive.
