Towing, Anyone do it?

I need my car towed from Philly to coatesville tomorrow and I was hoping someone on here knew someone/offered towing for a price that wouldn't be considered an ass raping.

I don't have a AAA full membership and the wait is 5 days to get the highest membership activated. I can't wait that long. So a AAA tow to where I need to go would be in the 140$+ range...

So would anyone on here know someone who tows or offers towing for a decent price. Of course I'm expecting to pay, just not 140 bucks to move the freakin car...

I need help on this bad - gotta get the car to Roots factory tomorrow in order to have it to drive up to state college this weekend... Help!!

$140 isn't that bad to be towed from Philly. I paid almost that to get towed to Coatesville from West Chester.

I called them - first day they can pick it up is monday. I am scheduled for the tune tomorrow during the day, I need to drive the car up to State College on sunday.

I think I may just have to bite the bullet and call AAA, but Art referred me to a guy in Philly so hopefully he picks up his phone...

is the car not driveable at all? mine was driveable at light throttle, but sounds like yours isnt.
i think $140 for a tow isnt really all that bad, but hey if we have anyone on here who can hook people up that would be awesome. i wish i was friends with someone with a towtruck.
did you think about renting a trailer from uhaul? if you have a truck to use then that'd be pretty cheap.

Uh, Different maf, different cams, different injectors, different size intake, etc etc...

I don't think it would be driveable without an oil change afterwards... I would be washing out the cylinders very badly. You guys think its worth the risk with a stock ECU?

Its 45 miles...

44.9 miles from point to point according to google maps.

From 5th street to 76, then to 202 to 30.

When you say late, you mean late as in tonight or tomorrow?

na i wouldnt risk it if you dont feel good about it. i had my car idling and cruising alright after a few tweaks of the ecu and my gauges told me things were alright so i felt comfortable with it.
good luck finding a tow...

yeah I do - but thats it... I really wish I had upgraded a week ago.

And around that time should be fine.

*edit* Yeah, 8PM tow should be fine - just called Roots factory and they said someone should be there.
