Street Racing

A friend and me were messing around on a back street. We both took off and were racing (I'm not going to lie). I go around a bend and dont see my friend behind me anymore. I get a call on my cell phone with another friend yelling "Go, Go there are cops behind you" So i turned into a parking lot. Turned my lights off. Waited there for about 3 minutes. Got out of my car starting walking to see if anyone was coming (cops) and sure enough they were. The cop did not see me in the car and I never admitted to the cop that i was driving this car (not my car). Can this officer still write me up for street racing even though he did not see me in my car and he did not pull me over in my car? The real driver could have ran away before the police officer got there.

Can they yes. Will it hold up in court I don't know. They may have seen you driving the car if they did an can ID you as the driver your beat. Did you get a summons that night?

no i didnt get a summons that night. they said they are going to send it in the mail. Although they did impound my car. I wasnt even close to my car when the cops pulled up and also the guy that really could have been driving could have easily ran away. So i really dont think this is going to hold up in court at all. Oh and there is no way they could have IDed me driving my tint is 10% all around (yes illegal as hell) so they cant see in at night.
