Scrap Yards 'round the NE, Bucks, Abington area

Are there any scrap yards around Northeast, Bucks, Abington, maybe even across the bridge in Jersey, that pay for metal. I know a friend went to one somewhere around Bristol but I can't seem to find it. Gotta do some garage cleaning , I got 3 diffs on my lawn and a tranny or 2 in the garage, wouldn't mind getting a few scrap bucks for them.

Thanks,

Ark

There is one right behind the IKEA in Norristown or Conshohocken. You can see the IKEA from 476 head towards 76.

Del Val Scrap in Bristol / Levittown area, on old edgely, or something like that. A stones throw from 13 & PATP, I can give better directions if needed. I've heard theres a place somewhere in Bristol on Green Lane that pays out a couple cents more per pound, but I have yet to check them out.

sorry to jack the thread, but any have any idea how much i would get for a huge window a/c unit? It's been sitting in the sunroom of my house since i moved in and i figured maybe it'll be worth something instead of throwing it out.

^^ I think it all comes down on if they need to claim the refrigerant from it, you may end up paying them to recycle it.

95 to aramingo ave you get off there make a right, i think first light you make a left, Richmond and Sons Scrap they pay something like 10 cents per pound of any scrap and 13 cents for cast iron. It doesnt sound like much but there is some weight in metal. They pretty much take anything as long as its doesnt have any gasses or fluids in it.
