My 1994 Supra Turbo Journal

I wanted to start documenting the progress I've made on my 94 Supra. The car has changed a bit since I bought it and it will continue to change as I add my personal style touches to it.

The car on the day I bought it. It's pretty dirty

Engine shot: 67mm DBB turbo

After a good wash:

Redoing the interior because my leather was completely shot:

Matching shift boot

Adding a CF hood. The turbo is LOUD with the rainguards removed. I love it.

And finally I added an RMM wing to replace my stock, cracked spoiler: pics later in the thread.

A few other things I've done which the pictures don't capture.
-Replaced the factory antenna mast (The cord inside was broken)
-completed the OBDII convsersion. (swapped out OBDI ecu, various resistors, OBDII port, 02 sim) Previous owner started it but never finished it.
-clear turn signals
-clear front side markers
-retuned the methanol injection kit
-wired in SAFCII, tuned fuel to 11.6:1 AFR at WOT
-veilside sideskirts and rear valences are uninstalled. They'll go on eventually and should flow well with the angle of the RMM wing sides

1994 Toyota Supra Single Turbo

Body:

Yea, I lurk around on other forums too. Should be a good time. It's pretty far for me to go, so hopefully I dont blow anything up. My biggest concern is wheel hop on street tires. I havn't really figured out how to get a good launch without them hopping on me.

Woohoo for high 12's @120+

Even if you only run stock boost, it'll still be good to get used to the car on the track. Then when you do get a stronger clutch and turn it up you'll be good to go.

Signiture Size

I changed it before I left for work this morning, and I figured I could resize it when I got home. Apparently not. Not a very good reason to someone for 10 days IMO. They could have just asked nicely and I would have taken it down.

Sneak Preview

Just got back from having the tires mounted. Everything looks awesome. I could definately go with a 305 in the rear once I roll the fenders.

235's up front
285 drag radials in the back.

Putting em on the car tonight or tomorrow weather depending...

The car *should* go mid 11's. I did 12.8 @121.8 taking it easy on street tires with a 2.4 60ft. Wheel hop off the line and I even managed to get it wheel hopping at the top of first. Runs were done on 108 octane at only 17psi. Now with the drag radials I should be able to get a bit better launch and shouldn't have to worry first gear anymore. I will be able to run it at 20-21psi with some meth and 108.

Whether or not I drive it to that, thats another story...I'm a novice at the track and really just enjoy tearing it up on the streets. We'll see how I do with drag radials...and yes I know its easier to break things with em
