Pocono Long Course pics & vids
I'm going to buy one of the pics but not sure which one... I'm leaning towards the one with the supra in the background cause it looks badass ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also shot a couple of incar vids, watch them in hi quality if you can. I hook up my camera to the big screen and its almost like you're there. Last part of the first session, I was still getting used to the course but I picked up a lot of speed from the begining to the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LYijJNdoVQ last half of the second session: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XB-ZFgMsEg third session is still u/l. |

Very cool...congratulations. When you had a clear run ahead of you in the "last half" vid you were going pretty good...the third session was not up yet when I watched this.
I've been on the Long Course over the years but I prefer some of the shorter more technical layouts...they're all fun though. I wonder who/what that Supra was? How did you do compared to him? I'm driving at NJMP on Aug. 5th so I'm looking forward to trying that track for the first time.

yeah, its not cheap and there is a lot of risk involved but soooo worth it.
where else can basically drive the car as fast as you are capable of and not get in trouble for it... unless you mess up that is. On the street if you get caught doing this you'll be lucky to just get a ticket if not really hurt yourself or someone else in the process. when you think of how much a street racing ticket or losing your DL will cost you its really a bargin! |

I was skurd too...
it takes a while to get used to how a car feels at that kind of speed. Just breathing off the gas @ 140+ there is so much wind resistance the car instantly knocks off 20+ mph. Its amazing what the car does with just a little streeting, throttle or brake inputs at that kind of speed. |

Awesome videos! We need more stuff like this in the gallery section!
Did you get yelled at for wearing short sleeves the first session?

had to edit down my last session to fit on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_j1bdwmBkM this session is kinda where all hell broke loose. At the end of the video I boiled my brake fluid so bad I couldn't stop for "the devils elbow" turn at the end of the long straight. On that turn you are slowing down from 5th gear around 140 to 50 or so MPH in 2nd gear. Thats a lot of heat to dissipate and I guess it was too much for the stock pads and Castrol LMA to handle over and over again. you can see my instructors waying to STOP STOP. I had my foot all the way on the brakes and still blew the turn by a hundred feet or so. Next time I go out I'll have fresh pads and Motul RBF 600 fluids. |

your instructor looked like a fag when he tells you to brk lol But yeah your line good as far i could see. one thing though did your instructor tell you to coast through the nascar turns or did you just not feel comfortable going full throttle through them. Also when on the last turn before the straight away it seems like you took really wide, arch like coming out of the turn. I go through there almost like in a straight line right after the apex im full throttle
