I have my Rotas with all seasons on them for the winter and put my bbs's on the other day come to find out the tires are going and will need replaced soon. What are some good performance tires that have low road noise, good handling, and still function in the rain? I was on tirerack and came up with a few; Bridgestone Potenza's which is stock, Goodyear Eagle F1, Michelin Pilot Sport, Pirelli PZero, etc. What are some good tires that fit into the above categories? Need suggestions

the OE re070's are garbage in anything but dry warm weather

you want to look at these:

Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R
Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec
Falken Azeni RT615

Hes got RE01Rs

You could also look into Falken FK452s if you want something that isn't as pricey as the afforementioned. Rode on them for 2 years and they were always great.

I was looking at those and the price isnt that bad, How is the wear? I already assumed it would be around $900 after everything is ordered, mounted and out the door. So I will def look into them. I know tirerack is on here do we get a discount of any sort?

depends on how you use them... ive had these for 2 warm seasons..so about 20k miles... including a good amount of spirited backroad driving, 1 track day, and 1 auto-x... id say that still have at least 5k left on em

I like Yoke AVS, but all performance tires are a little scary in the rain.

i completely disagree with that. saying ALL performance tires is far too broad.

and take a look at the dunlops.. they are getting good reviews as well. and i think they are cheaper. they werent around when i got my tires otherwise i mightve got them

All are great! I have the RE01R's and they are absolutely amazing once you break them in and heat them up, at first I was a little pissed at the noise and how much the car slid around until I broke them in and really got some heat to them, after that they have been amazing even in the rain! You will get the same results from the Z1 Star Specs.

Yeah I took a look at them and they look pretty good it always comes down to choices

Sidenote: Jon I was on mx6.com saw the shots you took and was wondering if you had the high res versions on the bridge ones? I contrast and whatnot is off and wanted to know if I could fix it?

Very true I was looking at tire rack and im torn between the 2 someone suggested kumho but i never anything good come from them

They are decent at best if you just want a tire to drive on. Their quality has always matched their price. Mine bubbled in no time. Most of their sidewalls suck!

Don't go cheap on tires, reference Chaos's first reply and be happy with what you bought, thats all I can say.
