Anyone else have trouble sleeping??

I havnt fallen asleep before 3am in god knows how long. I just lay in bed and toss and turn no matter how tired I am, I can lay there yawning for 2 hours before I fall asleep.

I'm always up late, but thats just my schedule. I work till 1am a couple nights a week, and I'm up till 3ish every night. Hey, I just got home from working on the Supra...
Sometimes I wish I could go to bed earlier and get up earlier, but late night is like my prime and its usually when I'm most productive.

Always.

And when I do sleep, I wake up tired, no matter how many hours I sleep, 1-12 hours and I can still be dead.

My sister thinks the waking up tired is an REM issue. Which could be true. But the only thing I know about on how to get to sleep is to take some shots of heavy liquor or nyquil. I had to do it in middle school and highschool. A small screwdriver before bed, or else I'd never get to sleep. Highschool turned to a large screwdriver. Now I do it only when it's horrible, because my alcohol tolerance is up too high and I hate doing 4 shots of 151 to get to sleep.

*edit*
The same goes even if there's someone laying next to me sleeping. The last girl I was with, I could never sleep at her place. I would lay there and watch her sleep and listen to her breathe. It was so relaxing and the best thing in the world to just hold her and listen. Then when she got up for work 4 or 5 hours later, I'd go home and end up finally falling asleep...for about 3-4 hours before I had to go back to work. Still dead tired. There were a few times I fell asleep at her place, but I still woke up dead tired. I think that's why I come off as a miserable wretch.

*edit2*
I thought about going to the doctor for it, but honestly, I work with heavy equipment and I don't want to take any drowsy **** or anything with lingering effects. That, and I want to know what's CAUSING it and try to fix it, not bandage it. I'm gonna go read another book in bed. Maybe I can get some sleep. I have to call out of work tomorrow anyway.

Ah sleep, such a wonderful thing if I could actually do it earlier then 4am. Every night i try sleeping, i just toss around in bed and get more annoyed that i cant sleep. Hell its almost 4am now and im still wide awake like its the middle of the day. Sleeping pills dont work, neither does alcohol. I really dont know what to do!! I also too could sleep between 3-8 hours and still wake up dead tired.

I'm a Night owl anymore. I used to be able to sleep no problems, but I think my bed is whats causing most of my sleep issues. That and stress. It sucks tho.

Depending on my schedule, I either need to be sleeping by around 10pm, or 1am...... and it sucks, since that changes ALL the time, and it messes up my sleeping patterns. That, and staying up til 4am on the weekends doesnt help either...

I suck at sleep. I work 6 days a week, so the only day I can sleep in is Saturday. Even if i go to bed early, I still wake up way tired during the week an I always feel drained. I have no trouble falling asleep, but I'm still always tired.

Most of it is because my diet sucks. Instead of eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I eat bruninner....?.... lol. One big meal basically. Its bad. Plus I relax by myself at night the most to wind down because after work I'm with my gf or at a car meet, and while we can relax together and I love it, i think my brain likes to just sit there and chill after everything calms down. Sometimes though that runs until 2 or 3 in the morning either on the computer or watching tv...But who knows. I actually think my brain works better and gets a better kickstart on a little sleep rather than a lot.

I don't have trouble falling asleep, I have trouble waking up. It's gotten really bad. I actually kept pressing snooze on my cell phone for over an hour this morning. It drives Bill crazy, lol.

well consideringthe first 7 responses were before 5am, i'd say yeah.. some people here have trouble sleeping. haha. i'm the same way sometimes. it's in cycles. i'll go 2-3 months where if i go to bed any later than 10pm i feel like ass in the morning. then it switches. it'll be 2-3 months where i toss and turn for 2+ hours before i fall asleep. it ends up being 1-4am before i get tired enough to sleep. no matter what time i go to bed i always have to wake up at the same time for work though, which sucks.

Only time I have trouble sleeping is when there is a big event coming up the next day, or if I am bugged with something I will stay up all night researching how to fix it. Otherwise, I stay up till 1am, then 20 minutes later I am knocked out till 9-10am.

I'm the same way. I can get in bed at 1 and I'll be up till 3. Now that it's summer and I can get up whenever I want, I haven't been able to go to bed before 6. Except by that time the birds are chirping and lighting is shining through the shades and I can't sleep.
