oil around intercooler piping

so i have this oil around my intercooler piping. am i of the wrong mindset that this is something that happens over time with subies. it def. happens with turbo diesels...the builds up inside the pipes. would a catch can and new i/c hoses fix the problem, or is there more to the picture that i am not understanding?

happens on mine too, flush it out with soapy water and clean out real well, check your tb as well...no big deal, but letting it sit for a while can prevent airflow and gum up the works in the intercooler/piping

inside the pipes usually means the seals in the housing are going bad

I have oil on the insides of my intercooler piping as well. It's normal blowby for a WRX. A catch can should help solve that.
