If you're putting the money out now you might as well just go for the real deal. It will be cheaper than doing it twice. It could be at the cost of your engine. The extra money you pay for a real HKS unit is because they use higher quality materials. The springs are set and calibrated properly. Oh and you're not putting more money into an already bloated chineese economy for crappy goods.

I can also say from a business standpoint HKS takes customer service very seriously.

What about custom piping? I mean, HKS is no joke, that's for sure, but do you think a vendor or something could replicate some comparable pipes (while still holding quality) for cheaper? I dunno, just an idea. But I mean, I would spend the extra money for reassurance and sanity. Then you don't have to worry.

For the record, the ssqv's I've heard do'nt really make a "whoosshh" noise, it's a distinct high pitched sspppttt.

Its only IC piping its not rocket science to make. I am sure any vendor on here that can weld can make you the same piping if not better that fits nicer for cheaper.

And the HKS Bov sounds like a bird getting shot in the ass. I hated it on my car.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying for 450 you get pipes and 2 knock off bovs or for extra 200, you can get the real HKS? Personally, I would get the real ones. I have it on my Supra and (took off the insert so it's a quiet whooooosshh not a chirp) it works flawlessly. I've heard that the knock offs leak. If it was just piping and not the bov itself, I'm sure a vendor can take care of you

Welding a BOV isn't hard, I would say do it once and do it right - get a proper BOV and dont worry about it leaking ever. I haven't heard an HKS leaking on anything except if you get into the 25 psi range or higher.

The SSQV is easily the most annoying BOV on the market.

Get the real deal. The fake ones are actually made well, but dont seal correctly in the flange because they made the base a tiny bit too thin.

That BOV comes in at #2 on the most annoying list.

Every bov sounds like that.
What I meant is that it sounds better then the insert it comes with. Its not as loud and annoying.
