So I was on the boardwalk in OCNJ today for the Corvette Show. There was over 300 Vettes on the boardwalk. The weather was great and it was an awesome car show.

But I missed history in the making. This afternoon on Speed was the Brazilian Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso got enough points to clinch the F1 World Championship today. At 24 he is the youngest ever to do it. McLaren today took the lead ahead of Renault in the constructors championship and the next two races should be pretty good. At least I think it is more exciting that the Nascar race for the cup. I haven't seen WRC on Speed in awhile.

boo. the people here are bummed about Schummy doing poorly this year.

The sport needed it though. The rule changes were a bit illogical at times though, especially the no tire change rule. Schummy just couldn't get anything out of the bridgestones. Frankly, it seems that McLaren has a better car, but they have fallen victim to some bad luck, and some serious rectal-cranial-asphixiation's this year. I hope they win the constructors title though. It will be interesting to see what its like next year, with the new V8's will do. Plus, with BMW severing ties with Williams...it my be a very interesting year. I like that they are planning on changing the qualifying system...though I don't think that they have decided on what the system will be yet.

It will be a big off season, with lots of teams changing, lots of drivers changing teams, and lots of technical changes.
