Hey all,

I heard about your forums from a friend of mine. I logged on and checked em out ! Seems pretty cool, I like the fact that its a semi-local forum and I have probably seen some your members on the streets !!

I just wanted to post up to make my name known and show some support !!

I have a 97 Cavalier. Its a dark red sedan w/ a built, turbo 2.4 motor, manual in it. I am currently rockin a CF hood, RK body kit & 18" konigs. Maybe you've seen me around??

Anyway- Nice to post finally and I wish this forum the best !!

I'll have a picture up shortly- The forum won't let me post pics until 3 posts for some reason...

Thanks... Yep, everyone gets a kick outta the name.. I've been using it for alot of stuff for years..

Its fun explaining to Sprint over the phone that my username is Hairyblackdude@whatever and I forgot my password, haha..

Anyway, I will post up some pics of my car soon... Its a great little car, unique as hell and its alot of fun to drive !! The entire car has been gone over. The ENTIRE interior is wrapped in a Black & red tweed w/ some instruments molded into the dash. This car has been through sooo many phases and looks over the years...

I purchased it as my first car back in 2000. Its crazy to think I've had it for so long and how far it has come... I still catch some **** for it being a cavalier.. I feel you can drive whatever the hell ya want, and having one car over another doesn't make you any better or worse than anyone else..

I can't stand the negativity of some tuners... All I do is drive down the street and I get ****ty looks from pretty much anyone driving something else a little flashy.. Oh well, I just try to be nice to everyone and be open-minded about other peoples tastes and preferences..

hey i remember you! you probably would remember me too if you seen me. I havent seen your cavalier rolling arround in about a year or two though. Thought you may have moved. If this is the guy im thinking it is, you had like an SS style hood before. I think your friends with the guy with the red ef with an LS swap?

I also have the SS style hood, but I am usually rocking the CF one.. I want to use both, but I need to get around to installing hoodpins on that other hood.

My car has been in my garage probably 75% of its total life. I was in the middle on doing the 5 speed conversion last summer when I got into a biking accident and just about died. I spent alot of time in the hospital and after I got out, I was too weak to even do anything.. So, I finished it up earlier this year and the car is back in full force !!

Right now the turbo is not piped in. I wanted to make sure everything was okay w/ the swap and I wanted to break in my new clutch & flywheel w/ some easy driving before I go slapping the boost in...

My friend had a red 91 civic w/ B18a swap and then he swapped some other kinda motor in. He traded the car to some dude for a 2002 Yamaha Raptor.

You will probably see me in my DD more than anything. Its a Black Z24 w/ Bronze painted wheels. The car is pretty much stock.

I only have 1 recent pic that I took w/ my cellphone last weekend... Ive been meaning to get some new ones, but just too busy. You can see the CF hood painted and my toyota power folding mirrors as well. You can make out the intercooler a little bit... Its not the best pic, but you get the idea...

Heres an older pic of the interior. I have since then installed a Momo steering wheel. You can see the wideband & SAFC molded into the dash though. The car is not automatic anymore, so the shifter assembly is different as well.. With the exception of several painted pieces, the black & red is all tweed.

This one is from a few years ago when I used to have air ride installed and my old rims. Its one of my favorite pics...

The car sounds mean as hell. I think it sounds like a damn airplane taking off when that turbo spools up !! With the built engine, I am probably going to run about 12-15lbs. Other people have shown pretty good results w/ the right turbo setups on these motors.. It should make for a pretty fun to drive car.

If you guys are interested, I could get some better pics up soon... Comments are welcome.
