Borrow Jack Stands..

Anybody in the Lansdale/Harleysville area have a pair of jack stands I can borrow? I already have two, but I am painting all 4 calipers on my car so I need all the wheels off to paint all 4 at once.

Thanks.

Lift the front and do the 2
lift the back and do the 2

its how i did my car, my friend's golf, an s2000 at work, and many others, works just as well.

I recomend getting the kit, the brush-on paint is just a lot cleaner to work with than spray from my experience and the paint in the can is enough to do about 40 calipers I would say...I did 3 cars with one kit and still well more than 2/3 in there, and I did 2 coats on each corner of each car.

I got the G2 system, which is brush-on. From what I understand I have to mix the the reactor, which gives me 4 hours to work. I'd rather just get the whole car off the ground, since I'm doing it myself, just to make it easier. I am planning on painting all 4 calipers, caliper brackets, and rotor hubs. Will I have enough? I figure I'll do all 4 calipers first (2 coats), then all 4 caliper brackets (2 coats). Then, if I have enough left over, I'll do the rotor hubs.

Youll have plenty of paint...I dont know what the g2 kit is, but I used the Dupli-Color caliper kit, the paint doesnt leave you with a time bracket to work.

It's pretty much the DupliColor kit, only more expensive. The G2 kit says 4-6 hours is all I have once it's mixed.

Just try to do 2 coats, but let the first dry before you apply the second..the paint-on kits tend to crack and chip sometimes.
