I hope you didn't open this thread thinking I have a 2009 GTR on order, or maybe a 2009 Camaro. Nope, nothing that hot, but it is a 2009.

Due to recent family changes, I have ordered a new car for myself. The current car, 2006 Mitsubishi Galant, is "mine" but I didn't buy it. That car will be going to my little brother as his first car, and also for my dad when he is home from work. Usually hes gone at least 40 weeks of the year on business, so he doesn't really have his "own" car per se.

Long story short, I drove a 2008 Ford Fusion SEL V6 Sport that we had at work in our inventory. Drove it for 3 days (brought it to the Exton meet) and I felt that the car satisfied my needs in a car, at this time. I would love to get into a G35 Coupe or something just as fun, but gas and practicality win the race in my decision. So i ordered a 2009 SE Sport Fusion.

I was averaging 16-19mpg with the V6 (automatic, not available in manual), so I narrowed it down to the I-4 in Manual (up to 34mpg hwy) I also added the sport appearance package which comes with:

18inch machined wheels with painted pockets
red stiching on black interior
black grome grill
body colored foglight surrounds
sport tuned suspension (lower)
thicker stabilizer bars
lip spoiler

the only other options are sunroof and sync (package) The car will look exactly like the posted pictures of the 2008 model i was driving. Color and all. I do not know when i will be receiving the car, I will find that out when it is scheduled for construction as Ford is making the transition to the 2009 model year.

unlike almost every ford, it doesnt look like ass. but at the end of the day, its still a ford :/

They are really nice cars. I guess when it comes down to it we all have to grow up some time and have a respectable car. I know some days I wish I was driving something stock and dependable, but I will get there in time.

no, i already lost one car because of you, not this one too.

yeah, it took me some grunt to buy a Ford. However, like i said, the fun cars will come later. Im getting a deal and a half because i work for Ford, and maintenance will be cheap as anything.

These cars however, i barely see come in for anything outside of routine maintenance. The ones that needed help were owned by clearly neglecting customers. My Galant is still ticking fine with 70k on it, hasnt had one major repair yet (KNOCK ON WOOD) i do most of the work myself due to use of full shop and materials.

I like the red also, it has a nice metallic flake to it up close, and when not in direct sunlight is more of a slight slight maroon.

Not a fan of the fusion, (I would have gotten a new focus instead)

But its always nice to have something new and fresh. Good luck with the car!

not in the least, i was just expressing that this isn't something to go ape **** about. haha, after driving the new focuses, i would rather be treated to chinese water torture.

I was given a Ford Fusion as a rental from Hertz in Boston about a year ago and I really liked it. I was impressed with the performance given the price of the car and even considered it as a strong candidate for my daily driver before picking up the '04 325xi.

nope, ball park in around 6 weeks. The car isnt even built yet, it will be specifically built for me and leaves the factory and straight to me (at the dealership) no sitting in lots or anything.

As soon as it gets here, the Carbon Euro ground effects kit is going on (same kit on the car in pics) then i am detailing the balls out of it. Polishing it, then marine waxing it. Scotchguarding the entire interior, etc. So once it gets here i still may not be driving it for about a week.

I thought u ordered the V6 at first, then I started knocking it before I read you went with the 2.3L manual- the after market for a 2.3 is way better. I would love to find a 2.3 clip to drop into the focus! Keep checking back with http://www.fswerks.com
