Horrible Idle dilemma...

I went to leave this morning and when I started the car the idle was very rough and the motor was shaking the car. When I hit the gas it would bog and sound like a harley. My check engine light is already on because of my headers and hfc but the car has always been running good. Any ideas?

I pulled the wire on each cylinder and tried a new cam sensor but was not that either...

Sounds like it's only firing on three cylinders.

Get the codes read so you don't have to guess.

how could the timing change? no way that i know how.

how can you be 100% sure that there are no vac leaks without pressure testing or smoke testing?

I wish I could take video of how the car acts. There is no way it is a vac with how rough it is. I try to give it gas and it bogs bad. It is just dumping fuel. You can smell i out the exhaust

I just can't figure out what it is and how it happened since the car was fine the night before and I get in it in the morning and this happened just like that.

ok i dont see how jumping a tooth would have to do with dumping fuel either though...
if you dont have a good idea of what it is or how to troubleshoot it sounds like you should just take it to an experienced shop and have them look it over.

honestly if u keep with ur timing belt maintenance the belt "should" not jump a tooth, i'd be looking at a stuck injector thats just pouring fuel into ur engine

Do you have a blow off valve? If so, it can get stuck open and let me tell you, NOT fun! Check that, its a simple check.

Check your intake track. I bet there is a leak somewhere.

Bob, i got your message late buddy.

check the MAP sensor. Its located on the intake manifold right where the throttle body is. Unplug it and see if it changes. Im willing to bet that is the issue.

I just went out and swapped my brothers in and it didn't change anything.
So far the:
-The MAP sensor has been checked
-Cam Position sensor has been checked

Could it be as simple as replacing the wires and plugs?

You got the codes read, and didn't tell us what they are. List the trouble codes.

I'm 98% sure it's not the BOV stuck open.
