g20 sr20de shaking at idle

Ok so my step-brother has a g20 with an sr20de and at idle the engine is shaking like crazy. Its kinda rhythmic and i have no idea what could be causing this.

I drove it around the block a few time and you can also hear, for lack of a better explanation, a F1 engine sound when the ac is on and the car is in gear.

Any idea's what this could be.

Babe.. Had you explained this more in depth to me earlier instead of just saying it has a problem, I could have spared you at least 1 question.. If the engine is Visibly shaking while Idling, Then Check the Motor mounts. They might be shot... The rest, Errmm.. I dunno, couldn't help ya there until I actually heard it for myself...But I cant believe you overlooked the possibility of it being motor mounts.. Tisk tisk..

ok i was just having the same problem with my car somewhat. 1st guess not knowing the car or any recent maintenence i would guess a mount. Does it sound like its mis firing? if so it could be a coilpack or plug.

its not only when its raining because i saw it yesterday. and as far as the motor mounts thing i dont really know about that because it is a violent shaking and only at idle if you rev the motor it goes away.

There is a high pitched sound also. It becomes prominent when the rpms get higher but it also changes speed when the rpms climb witch makes me think it might be a bearing or something along those lines.

He found out what it was.. The Bearing in the AC compressor is bad and the shaking is because some moron put the cheapest spark plugs in and that motor for some reason ( and not sure if this is true but it seems it is) Required platinum plugs..

Not true at all, sr20de's can run on copper plugs with correct gapping, avoid Bosch plugs for these motors, NGK ftw.

What he said, I only run copper plugs, but they must be ngk's! 5 heat range if your n/a and 7 if your boosted

Thanks.. yeah his Dad's Buddy told him it HAS to be platinum plugs.. I'm sure it was in efforts to drag more $$ out of him like usual hes a snake about it. I know alot of Imports have to run NGK's or do from the factory, which threw me for a loop when he told him platinum plugs only.. But not being too into nissan, I kinda was wondering about that.
