The "whos been down this year" thread

I went down 3 weeks ago. Broken collar bone, broken pinky, and road rash. Oh yeah, and my bike got beat up lol. Sorry these are all cell phone pics

I'm thinking about getting a bike but its still debatable. Gas prices keep going up and I will get one. It will be cheaper paying the insurance than to keep paying for the gas in the car. If I got one it would deff be used and be a ~600 or less.

A kid just went down last week around a mile from my house. Was air lifted out. 17 yrs old w/o a license, friend brought over the bike w/o a license also. Kid took it for a ride and wrecked less than a mile from his house. The bike landed on him and bounced off. Peg through the stomach and his legs are torn up bad.

I've heard the kid is a dick (in my bro and sisters class) and he is also being an ass to the nurses/doctors.

You guys are something else...I was so lucky to never spill my Dirtbike or Streetbike. Now that I have been without a bike for over 8 years I am in the market for a cruiser. HD Nighttrain and hopefully I will never have to spill it.

hmm i had a mild lowside a few months back. sliders saved the bike completely. just had to replace the stator cover and the bar ends. only damage to me was a nasty scuff on my left glove.

hah i was breaking hard from like 120 when it started sliding. only reason the bike wasnt worse is that i somehow managed to keep it up until it got down to about 20. trust there was some high pucker factor there lol

The road rash doesn't really bother me a whole lot, it hurt when they cleaned it but i'd much rather have the road rash then the broken bones. they take to long to heal lol.

blkz06 what the hell were you doing to do that much damage?

I put brand new tires on the bike, literally only 30 miles on them...did a 2nd gear stand up and when i set it down..it was slightly crooked and on the yellow line. The front tire slid out from under me and thats when the fun began lol

I low sided and flew through a fence and off a 25 ft retention wall into the woods and the bike slammed into a couple trees and broke in half. Fun part was climbing back up the wall with a shattered femur
