At the risk of sounding quay. How do you clean your finger nails after car work?

For those of us who actually work on our cars.

I recently started keeping a tooth brush in the shower with me just to clean the crap out from under my nails when Im showering after doing car work.

Just wondering what other methods you guys were using

/end work boredness.

rubber gloves.

i'm weird about that crap, i won't work on anything without em. all day at work i have gloves on. there's not much worse than thinner and filler/primer/clear dust drying out your hands and getting under the fingernails!

but for when it does, GoJo brush works best for me.

Toothbrush and some regular soap. That usually leaves some crap under the nails, so I use a scraper or just trim them.

Any auto parts store sells little finger nail brushes/scrubbers for like a buck. I had always seen them but never knew what they were for until my brother bought one.

Best way to get your nails clean is to take your finger nails and dig them into a bar of soap before you start working on the car and don't wash the soap out from under your fingernails under after you're done wokring on the car.....most of the grease/oil will wash right off. Or ya could just wear vinyl gloves, like I do.

I just have a thin wire brush or one of those brushes for cleaning vegetables. A little GOJO or TKO and my nails are ready for the prom!
