Official Domestics vs. Imports ish talking thread...

ok lets see what you got tough guys. this thread and this thread only is for all of your bashing and talking smack. i will not tolerate it anywhere else, so i hope you get your jollies here...
i personally think i could outhandle any domestic on here on a road course, any day of the week. going fast in a straight line takes a strong car, going fast in the turns takes a strong driver

See what it says on the bottom of the picture. I did my turns in a Offenhouser Powered Midget on dirt tracks from 1969-1972. I grew our of that an now I go fast...

I had a 70 mach1. Shouldn't have sold it!@$ Your car is gorgeous!

Either way, I don't think the STi has trouble going in a straight line, or turning, or stopping ;)

I have love for some domestics. New Cobra is sick, sick, sick. Guy went on the rally, putting down ~450rwhp with bolt ons. I loved driving that car.

But even with all wheel drive, you can't steer with the fronts off the ground. ;)

Ehemm.. I think the Ford GT can turn at 180+ with no problems.

I can enjoy my car year 'round and don't need a second vehicle to tow it around!!!!!!

Sure, I'd probably never see 9's or 10's, but I can do high 11's all the time: on my way to work, dinner, movie in ALMOST ANY conditions outside with the right tires.

But my message is simple: if you have a fast car, run it hard!

I got love for the NICE imports, other than that, i despise most of them...

List of nice imports:
- EVO
- STI (some regular WRXs)
- Silvia
- TT Supra
- DSM
- R32
- Turbo Rotary's

List of Hated Imports:
- Civic (Even the SI/SI-Rice)
- Non TT Supra
- Accord
- S2000 (unless modded)
- Lancer
- Sentra
- Non-Turbo RX-7
- RX-8 (Dropped the ball...)
- RSX (sorry, have yet to see a fast one!)
- Non-Turbo Eclipse
- Celica (Made for secretary's!)

Impartial:
- GTI (among various VWs)

More to come as I think of them!

Vypurr...I agree with your ENTIRE list except for the Non-turbo rotaries.

Four characters come to mind:

the 787B was Mazda's Entry into LeMans in 91'. It was an NA rotary powered rocket, I belive it made somthing like 600bhp. More importantly it is the ONLY Japanese produced car to EVER win the 24 hour race. LeMans saw it fit to create rules that elminated non-otto engines in 92'.

On a completly diffrent note... I thought this thread was for some **** talking.. I'm pretty disappointed so far.
