i regret to inform everyone im in detox/rehab now at princeton house in jersey as i type this its been a week and a day and its a 2 week prgram and im choosing to stay 3. im 17 and was a herion addict im 10 days clean and feel sooooo much better i dont ever wanna go back to that world i can tell you that i know for a fact im gonna stay clean i hated myself when useing. i feel 100x better if you guys have any questions ask. the reason i started was i have sever back pain and the **** they were trying wasnt working so i started buying oxy contin and when that got to be too expensive i started doing dope and 8 months later here i am

Good luck man. I have had one friend and one relative OD on heroin. My relative was the same, she had a bad back injury, was taking massive amounts of percs/vics, then oxycontin, then moved on to dope. You success will only be as strong as your will to succeed. If you don't want to go back to that life, it's your decision, make it happen.

Wow, good luck to you on your recovery. Good for you that you took the initiative to get clean and get your life back. You're still so young and have your whole life infront of you, so take this as a serious life lesson and never look back. I've lost a few friends/relatives to drugs, and that is never easy.

thanks guys i mean it sucks being in here but could be worse. the staff is awsome i go monday to get the pain meds i need and i NEVER wanna do dope again it sucks wakein up tryin to figure out how to get money. i got arrested and im glad i did it brought it out to my parents and thats what i needed i couldnt bring muself to tell em and i needed to tell em so i can check myself in. im lucky im only 17 or id be in jail. like i wasnt forced in here i checked myself in and it was the best choice i ever made

Good choice on going to rehab. I wish the best for you. When I was younger two of my close friends died from that crap, it was so sad to see them go at such a young age.

When you get out just keep yourself busy and away from that scene I am sure it will be hard but it will get easier and easier everyday.

the only thing you can do to help your self when you get out, other then telling yourself to stay clean, is changing your friends. No matter if it means all of them, they still all had to do with what you did in your past. If they didnt try and stop you then, then they never will in the future.

Ive been anti drug my whole life, never did drugs. The day i came home to find my little brother OD (15 years old) on a bed after ripping through everyones room in the house for more money or something, is the last day i talked to him and until he changes his friends I wont. People sometimes dont learn, wether its the easy or hard way, just learn fast that your life can go on or you can be stuck relying on the same old **** to get you through your day going no where.

I hope you take that seriously, think about it, and live by it because to tell you the truth most people your age dont and wont. Keep your head up...

are they doing saboxin or methadone, or neither? my uncle died from a oxy overdose while in a methadone clinic after becoming a quadriplegic from a heroine induced motorcycle accident. if you need anything PM me, ive been through this with more than a handful of people very close to me and can maybe offer some help.

honestly 99% percent of my freinds tryed helpin me but i wouldnt listen so really its my own fault.im not going back to it 2 of my own boys died but i was so deep in it i couldnt stop. i love my life,family and freinds to much to go back to it. i wanna get my **** together

a buddy of mine has been on dope, coke, oxy, acid for the longest time...he always claimed to be clean but thats when I walked in his room and he doped up and in the process of shooting his dirty stripper gf up....one of the worst things I have ever seen..


I used to have a big weed problem, not anywhere near the level of dope...but one thing I can tell you is WANTING to stop is the only way it will stop....I wish you the best of luck and hang in there, you do not need that stuff dude, find some good people to hang out with it. Its all about people and places, in addition to the desire to want to stop. DO NOT put yourself in a place where that might even be a remote possibility of seeing dope or other drugs.

That is pretty much the truth. A few of the kids I knew in college started getting heavy into cocaine and extasy, and would constantly talk about it open, until they got busted with everything. One of them finally did come out and state that he thinks he has an issue with the drug, and has been making every effort outside of rehab to make sure that he does not do it again.


Now, luckly for them, I was not around while this was talking place. Cause I would of cracked their heads open.


but to the OP, just make sure that when released, you seperate yourself from those kind of people. Keep your head up, and realize that what you did then, does not mean its what you have to do in the future.

good job man. great decision. i managed to stay relatively clean through out high school despite my band members being hopped up on pot, acid, what ever pill they can get. It may be tough but damn being straight from that **** is so much better.

again, keep your hopes up for staying clean from that ****.
