What do you think is wrong with this evo? Cheap ebay listing. Scam?

Its an 03 and apparently has a Buscher built motor. But wtf would he be selling it for $15.5k?! Theres a HUGE list of mods. How legit do you actually think this is?

possibly legit due to high miles and the fact he says in the auction locally listed too.
you could go there and look at it.

That's a fairly low price, and he put 40k miles in 2 years, that's a healthy amount for a built motor and in those 40k i'm sure there was some abuse. Maybe there is something wrong with it and he wants to just get rid of it on ebay so there isn't much of a "test drive." idk. Doubt it's a scam, in terms of craigslist scams.

the car was hit, he says it in the ad. it also has 80k and like the cap said 40k in 2 years is a ****load, espeically for a built motor which i'm sure when buying a car with "13k" in mods you arent not going to drive the car the way it was built to be driven.

so yes it is cheap, and it looks pretty clean, but it has its issues/will probably need some money dropped in it somewhat soon.

seeing that he wants a quick sale and its on ebay id say the price is somewhat accurat but def a low buy it now....even much nicer, low mileage evos on ebay rarely see much more then 22k it seems, i know id never try to sell mine on ebay bc i wouldnt get near what i would want prob

also....while it has nice mod list, its really isnt all that special, evos with similar mod paths really arent all that hard to find anymore if you know where to look, and no where does it make mention of any of the driveline mods that should be considered on a car like that,

I would be suspicious of the rear end damage. the outside may look fine but there is likely frame damage and such. he doesnt say the extent of the damage done nor the repairs. and 40k on racing parts is A LOT

frame damage in the rear isnt something you can hide with a new bumper on an evo, to me it sounds like the accident didnt warrant repairs

I've been drooling over evo's and this just seems too good to be true, and you know what they say. If it seems to good to be true, it is!

they also say you never know till you try.....this isnt craigslist, its a lot harder to be ripped off on ebay, its def possible but not as likely.....contact the guy and use common sense, i dont think its a scam

all for 18k
