Well, a stoner baby is surely better than a crack baby! Now I've smoked with a cat a few times, but a baby? No thanks. Many adults are'nt even capable of properly using cannabis.

Some people wonder why cannabis is still "illegal" and some KNOW why, and it surely is'nt related to the "safety" of the people.

Eh.... maybe I should of reworded this. I will not really say its "safer" then drinking, but with booze, you know exactly what you are getting. With pot, its a lot different.

Also, growing up, it was 100x easier to get pot then get alcohol. One phone call, and the kid would bring it over to me, or I could just head to his place. **NOTE: I did not, and still do not, smoke pot**

But then, as with really anything, people will find some way to abuse even the simplest of stuff for a quick high.

I am pretty sure they have. If not, the parents need to find out somehow.

I think you worded that wrong too. Getting stoned is the same experience again and again.

Well, I certainly would'nt say that cannabis is the same experience again and again, its just that many people have repetitive behavior problems. Also, most cannabis available today is heavily indica dominant as indica yeilds much faster than sativa and caters much better to indoor growing. Smoking a pure sativa is like doing a completely different drug(mercurial as opposed to venusian-sorry, i can't really break it down to laymans terms). Not to mention that smoking is just one method of consumption- there's vaporizing and oral use(cannabis is fat and oil soluble) which bring about a whole new level of experience.
Also, it's not really fair to say that you do'nt know what you're getting with pot. Potency is quite easily ascertained visual with cannabis. The theory of laced pot is quite inaccurate due to the fact that a dealer would lose money lacing pot with something more expensive, as well as the fact that many compounds are destroyed from the heat. The only semi-common thing it's laced with is pcp(wet, sherm) and that can easily be differentiated from normal cannabis by a plasticy/chemical smell and harsher hit(along with a plasticy taste).
However, I do completely agree that any drug can be mis-used and cannabis is no exception.

I must also note that, despite the modern anti-cannabis consensus, cannabis extracts in very high dosages were used to treat many diseases in infants and children in the 19th century. This is downplayed in modern times with the worldwide anti-marijuana campaign despite the fact that the medicinal properties of marijuana were used to a far greater extent than opium and cocaine were without the ill effects.
Also, throughout history, some of the most powerful consciousness expanding substances such as psilocybin mushrooms, ibogaine, muscimol mushrooms, mescaline cactus, and ayahuasca have been given to pre-teen children by native cultures during initiation ceremonies and religious rites.
Personally, I feel that cannabis should not be consumed until one is mature both physically and mentally(which is certainly not encouraged by the contemporary western anti-drug society). Here, i'm just noting that there should'nt be any ill physical effects to a young child that is exposed to cannabis either directly or as a fetus in a mother who uses the drug.

If one wants to learn more about the benefits and bs myths of cannabis, as well as the manifold reasoning behind its prohibition, spend some time looking over this ebook: http://jackherer.com/chapters.html
While written rather poorly, it is historically accurate and touches upon many facets of hemp that the controlling factors of government and big buisness have suppressed.
