Using Acetone to better gas mileage?

Has anyone seen this before? It seems like it's an old topic on the internet but I wasn't sure if maybe anyone had tried it. Supposedly if you ad a small (very small actually...see the articals I post below) amount to your gas tank at fill up, it will help the gas to vaporize and thus give you better gas mileage...But there is a lot of question as far as if it will mess with components, seals and other kinds of stuff within the engine. From what I can tell, it's hit or miss with different accounts and records....

Just kinda wanted to see what everyone thought.

I've heard of that, but the way I see it is that our cars were made to run off of gasoline and only gasoline so that's all that I put in my car.

well, we're talking 2 or 3 OUNCES for every 10 gallons or so from what I've read that people use or have tried to use. But the more I read, the more confused I get haha.

I'm 99% sure they did I watch it all the time. The only thing they found that worked instead of gas was used vegetable oil in a diesel.

It raises your octane but is very bad for injectors and fuel lines iirc.

^^ Thats what I heard, It will eat away all the rubber lines in the fuel system. I don't think the unlikely 5 mpg is worth the possible damage.
