Scranton newb

Hey folks, name is Chris. Currently driving my second Nissan 240SX vert that I bought back in November. First one had a bad night with a drunk driver. I'm currently going to school in east Scranton. Been pretty disappointed with the cars around here; everything seems to be old Hondas with exhausts you could hide the spare tire in or Neons with body kits and wings. Maybe this place can change that

Yes....quite so. 8300 made from 92 to 94, 200 of my year and color. I know of only three others in the Scranton/Wilkes area. But hell, I never see ANY 240s around here.

Here's a couple pics from when it got delivered. I've done some minor cosmetic stuff since then along with a set of Enkeis.

I just cleaned it today and I'm working on putting in new carpet within the week. Should have some better pictures eventually.

I'm about an hour South of Scranton, and basically agree with the cars that you see around the area... It's weird, I don't see too many 240 around but yet if I go to Harrys U Pull It, I'll find a few of them every time. Ive already seen a convert there too.

welcome to TST...i was in scranton last weekend...youre right about the old hondas, but i iwas shocked at the amount of Subarus I saw...i guess the AWD is a factor up there with the hills and snow..?

Well consideing most of the real cars in the area are still somewhat hibernating, I do agree with you that the scene is dead up here. I think I have seen your car a couple times only cause it is one of the only clean 240's.

You can usually find a bunch of us hanging out at Gerrity's supermarket parking lot on Keyser ave most nights. I think there are only a few of us on here though.

You gotta be kidding me. Man, I WORK there. The guy that works in Deli, Ronnie has a Sentra SER Spec V and sounds like he's pretty into cars. Lemme know if anything is ever going on up there, I'm usually working there weekends and Thursday until 7/8.

When I had my first autotragic 240 I went up there to scope it out. I walked the whole damn lot and saw 2 240's and one 80's 300z I believe. And nothing good enough to pull. Then again, every other junkyard I've been to has had no 240's at all.

Wait you have aftermarket tails in your car right? I thought that might have been your car when I saw it tonight. Yeah last summer we hung out in the back behind ollies but this summer we moved back up front.

Yeah, I've got the red and clear tails now. Also a set of 16" Enkeis with a ridiculous ride height

yeah i noticed that. As soon as the weather breaks we should be hanging out there on a regular basis. Usually start showing up around 8 or so.

I don't typically go there as they very rarely have the cars I have there. I have seen a total of 3 90's 300zx (Z32) and 0 90's MR2 (SW20) there. I go for some very small things that are on other cars and I resell to MR2 people, and to just check it out.

I typically take pictures of cars I see that are of interest, like any 300zx's, or MR2s and post it on the forums saying they are there. If I ever go and see any 240's I'll try to let you know and get a cell phone pic or two of them.
