24 Hours of Lemons PSU Team (Sponsors Needed)

I will be competing in the 24 Hours of Lemons race this August with a team from Penn State University. If you do not know about this event please read up on it. It is an awesome event, and a very inexpensive way to go about racing!

My team will be a team of drivers and pit crew members from Penn State Lions Pride Car Club. The school is willing to be a partial sponsor (offering us money for housing), and we will each most likely end up paying our own admission.

But what we need is some sponsors who would be willing to donate some money (or even better, their services). We will be selling large sections of the car dedicated to certain sponsors (size depends on sponsorship amount).

The most important things that we need are the following:

1) A donor car. We have another car lined up that does need work, but if you have a car that runs, and you are willing to sell us for cheap (Under $500) or even better yet, donate to us, we would be very happy.

2) We also need a shop to install a 6-point roll cage. This is approaching fast with the race being at the end of August, and any help would be greatly appreciated. We did have a company who told us that they could give us a slight discount, but we really really need more than that. A full donated cage would be amazing (and would get you a massive logo on our car).

3) Tires. We need 2 sets of new tires. If you have a hook up, please let us know. The cheaper (the price), the better!

4) Racing suits and helmets. Fireproof suits and helmets are required. And not just any helmets, they must be undamaged Type SA helmet, Snell 95 or better, mandatory. Type M (in other words, any motorcycle helmets) and other non-SA helmets not allowed. We are only in possession of 1 suit and helmet, and they are quite pricey. A loaner, or a good price on some items would be great!

If you are interested in signing up, please let me know and I will do my best to get you the information.

Any help that you or your company could offer would be greatly appreciated (and we guarantee that it will not go unnoticed!)

Thanks all! Hope so see some of you out there!

Also another important fact is that this is the first university team to ever compete. This means we will hopefully be getting a decent amount of attention from the different media coverage at the event. So just another incentive to help us out.

If you had some way of pitching the idea of having this on Speed Channel as a tv show I bet you could get tons of $$$$! Good luck
