Why i hate DHL (Pics inside)

So i bought a stock PSM scoop off of a member on NASIOC, and heres what i came home to at my garage today. (I do not blame the person i bought the scoop from for this at all FYI)

At this point i said, uh oh, and grabbed the camera before i even opened it. Especially because i heard things loose inside when i picked it up.

So i proceed to open it and find this....

So i contacted the seller, they havent gotten back to me yet, but i basically just wanna know if they had insurance on it and whatnot since i dont blame them for this happening. But then just for fun i decided to try to peice it back together.

Heres how that turned out..

After DHL crushed my box and seemingly had peices fly everywhere, they didnt even have the decency to put all the peices back into the box!!! That is all of the peices i had. I know DHL crushed the box too because it was pretty much encased in tape around the crush zone, and it looks like the DHL tape.

Anyway sorry for the rant, i just thought it was kinda funny, especially since it wasnt a super valuable item, if it was i would be pissed. Ill let you guys know how this works out.

P.S. Use DHL at your own risk, not the first time they have severely damaged an item shipped to me.

That is so unacceptable. I can't believe how crushed that box is and the fact that they can just leave you with that mess without even feeling responsible...I hope you get reimubursed in some way, shape, or form. Sorry to see that.

haha, thanks, and yeah thats why i took pictures of the box before i even opened it, that way they cant dispute that it was abused. Im surprised the delivery driver even bothered to deliver it though. Not a huge loss even if i dont get reimbursed, the guy only charged me 25 shipped, which is also why im 99% sure its not a scam, because who would try to scam someone out of $25

Yea I doubt it was a scam. I woked at UPS and you should see how boxes just get tossed everywhere. If something breaks they just stuff it back in and tape the **** out of it.

haha, thats exactly what it looks like they did. Ive never actually had a UPS or FedEx shipment get damaged though, well, except once when my mom ran it over because they left it by the garage. lol

I have always found DHL as my best shipper. I have always received their freight with great care. This is weird. Probably an accident and there is probably no insurance on it so he was like ahh **** it! lol sorry.

Same here....we use DHL everyday at my work and my only issue with them is not delivering early Am (10:30 am) shipments until 2:00pm

Cliff (aluchua) had a STI hood shipped to my house via DHL. It looked like the DHL truck got a flat tire and they used the hood as a spare. Every single corner of the hood was completely bent in like the hood was rolled on edge to my house. I don't think he ever was reimbursed for that because they always claim improper packaging. I guess you have to package things in the gas bubble thing they had around the mars lander.

You get what you pay for with DHL, and they will fight you tooth and nail for any kind of claim. That one incident was enough evidence for me to never use them again.

yeah dude i have personally had the same problem with i shipped out a package that was a two part package. the called me and told me to tell them what the second box looked like. i was like what the heck. i asked why and they told me they can't find the package because the label fell off. and the person that was going to get it called me going crazy saying that he got the first package but they can't find the second. they found the package and sent it to him and they didn't even refund us anything! you can call them and tell them the package came destroyed and they will ask for pics and go from there bro! good luck man

I think most shipping companys automatically cover anything under $100.
