chelsea clinton came to my school yesterday to talk about her mom and i had to cover it for the school paper. here's one pic and i'll have more up later when i edit some

You're really doing the school paper thing, not a bad shot at all. You caught a good expression. The lighting at these types of things is usually terrible.

Out of curiosity, do you all edit your own photos and submit them to the paper? If so, what size do you submit?

Ha she was at my school today, when I was walking in there were cops everywhere and I had no idea what was going on.

Edit- Now that I can see the pic that's a good shot for a college paper.

thanks guys for the comments. i like how most of the pics came out but alot were blurry cuz of how far i was from her using my 70-200 and the lighting was terrible

obama is coming wednesday to my school (west chester univ) so i may be doing pics for that too

thanks and yea, the lighting was terrible....not much light inside and bright windows right behind her. as for the school paper thing, i'm actually the photography editor now so i edit all photos to be placed in the paper and send out assignments and all that other stuff. when i put my pictures on the server for each section, sports like full res pics since they do full page pics sometimes but the other sections i'll usually resize them since they place them pretty small in the paper and then change size as needed as im placing.

hah, I do the same exact thing. I was going to be jealous of your photo editor if all the WCU photographers edited their own shots, but I guess we're in the same boat.
Cool, the wide angle and McCain posters are nice details.

its not a bad job and its pretty easy. it gets annoying tho when i send out the assignments we need covered for the week to our photographers and never hearing back from any most of the time so i get stuck covering most events anyway. other than that its a lot of fun to be going to the different events that i wouldnt have gone to before i started doing the paper thing.

nice pics for the most part. number 5 doesn't do anything for me. my attention is immediately drawn to the cop standing there. then it's like oh there she is. i like the wide angle and the one of the mccain people is funny.
