Millersville Charity Car Show-4/27/08
The Millersville University car show is coming up at the end of April, Sunday 4/27/08. This show has been going strong for ~5 years now and generally gets a pretty good turnout. When the weathers nice you can expect ~150 cars at any given time, and ~300 throughout the day. That was before I knew of this forum though, so hey....if it turns out like the sonic meet we could potentially double that. Roll in:10-12 The Show: 12-3 Trophies at the end of the show (A total of 21). This is a judged event, and if you enter it does cost (unless you're an MU student or Alumni) $10 to pre-register (printable forms on the website) $15 the day of the show. No charge for spectators There will be a portable 2wd dynojet dyno at the show(sorry awd guys). Cost of the dyno is $50 for 3 pulls. Yes, its up $10 from last year, but it costs more to bring the dyno now b/c of gas prices, etc. (dyno's from Backstreetperformance in ohio) This IS A CHARITY EVENT...so even if you dont want to try and win a trophy, please consider donating. The entire cost of entry will be donated to the Milagro House of Lancaster. www.millersville.edu/~uab/showpreview.html The website explains most things. The judging is going to be similar to the example sheets, as it hasnt changed much since the 05 sheets that are posted. NOTE: I'm not sure they are getting the same judges back this year, as their main sponsor won't be giving as much support as in the past. Check out the class breakdown online, and if you are extremely familiar with all types of vehicles in one class and want to judge, shoot me a PM or something. Obviously you wont be able to judge your own car, but if you're not entering and want to help out consider it.(Not sure if they'll pay you or not). This does not mean they wont have reputable judges this year, I'm just not sure who's coming back and I'd rather give them a few names in case their guys do fall through Sorry if this seems like a shameless plug for the show....I was in charge of it for the past 3 years, and now that I've graduated I want it to keep going strong.

Hah yea I have been burned badly every year and I never seem to learn. I remember seeing your car there, parked right next to SoAngels LS1 FD rx7. Does he still have that thing? I havnt heard much of him in the car scene lately. Gonna have to get in touch with him now, i'm curious.
Thanks for the link to all the pics, I was so bummed when TF.net crashed and all the 04 pics went away...I hadn't saved ANY of them. |

Angel sold the LS1 RX-7. He has some new RX-7 hybrid. Think it has a truck motor in there now. TF.net is back up. Now with VBulleton etc. I like that site. Street racing out there is low key (or was) and alot of the guys on there are good friends.

Unlikely since there are at least 3 events going on that day - TST spring run, HBGtuned.com barbeque, and the MU show. The Harrisburg crew will probably be at barbeque. The Lancaster crew will probably go to the MU show. The TST crew.. I have no clue. The drive is only for ~ 20 cars.

Bump and question .. Do we have to reserve dyno time before the actual day of the show? Or can we just pull up to the dyno that day, hand over our $50, and get the 3 pulls?
I finally want to have a physical record of the ****ty numbers and ****ty fuel map that my MSP puts down, LOL.

last year you just signed up as you got there, but the earlier the better, i was there well after everyone else had left waiting my turn on the dyno.
the guys running the dyno were'nt very kind at all, and when my car had a minor problem even though it was the second to last car to go on thy wouldnt give me five minutes to fix it and get an accurate nnumber. the meet itself was a good time though, i'll probably make it out, but the probe will not be ready.
