Any Road/Mountain Bikers Here

Whats up guys, I'm looking to start getting people together for weekly rides if there is any interest. I'm thinking maybe try and do a Saturday road ride, either in Jersey or over on Kelly Drive and then maybe shoot for Sunday Mountain Rides.

I'll be doing the Sat. road rides quite a bit even if solo. I generally don't like to MB alone due to risk of injury and calling 911 saying "yea I'm F***ED up and laying by the tree w/ green leaves" So that being said MBing will be better w/ a group.

Let me know what you guys think, I'll start riding in April since I'm out of town for the next 2 weeks.

Even if we can get a bi-weekly or monthly MTN ride that would rock and then anyone who would want to meet me for a road ride on Sat's would be welcome.

doubtful, I honestly haven't got out much in NJ due to having a lack of riders. I've been to White Clay DE. which is really fun. I have done most of my riding in Ashevill NC. Yet another reason I'm trying to find people to ride w/ is so I can find more spots!

i have 2-3 really close spots (5-10 minutes from me) so i really dont travel to spots much. i also have a single speed hard tail, so i dont really enjoy climbs ;)

I see your user name, don't tell me you drive the blue WRX w/ the MOVE OVER windsheild banner?

I'm good friends w/ Dave Grella and I actually just ordered my road bike from Joe! I get all my stuff at D&Q so it's a good chance you've seen me in there.

Me and my buddy Dave were going to get started in April with mountain and trail riding. We just got to pick up some bikes and we'll be set to go. We were planning on doing Sunday mornings in Wissahicken Park. We understand we need permits there, but its a good riding area. I'll keep you guys posted.

I've never heard about permits for Wissahicken but that doesn't mean much

I would be down 100% for Sunday MTN rides...count me in!

I do stand corrected, I just talked so someone in my office, he's been going for 5 years and has only encountered getting checked once and he just asked for the info to be mailed to his house and they were cool w/it and let him go on his way.

At the same time it's only $20 for the year and it goes towards maintaining the trails so I'm down for that!
