I was wondering how big of a factor tire pressure is on gas milage? I just checked mine today and my back wheels were 25 psi and it says its recomended to be at 44?? Is that bad.. and will that noticabley help.. i was just wondering with the way prices are now. o and check it out... 2.99 at sunoco in feasterville on street road for 87 i believe.. but right across the streeet its 3.25.. thought it maybe helpful

yes tire pressures will affect gas mileage as well as handling/safety. you dont need to keep them at the max recommended pressure but i wouldnt let them go too far below it. keep yours at 35+ and you should be ok.

Max for the tire is 44. But you need to go by the manufacturer's recommendation since they have several things factored in as well as the weight of your car.

This can usually be found on a tag in either the driver's side or passenger side door b-pillar.

With that said, I'm running 40 all around on the Pilot. It rides a lot more harsh and will wear the center threads faster. If you don't have much sidewall you are also more likely to bend your wheels. That isn't something I have to worry about.

More tire pressure makes as much difference as running a clean air filter.

Except it's all for naught when you have to buy new tires after a year cause your centers are gone.

No problem. That is why I corner hard with this thing. I'm wearing these tires pretty good and evenly. haha.
