didnt pass inspection...

Damn mounts. front motor mount, rear motor mount, torque dogbone mount and rear drum cylinder.

anyone able to help me out with this or leave it up to the shop?

actually reading online, the mounts dont seem to be too challenging. Just a jack with some wood should do it right? Anyone have any experience with this?

stock mounts on an 07 caliber didn't pass? take it to the dealership

I was gonna say you just got the car how do you need an inspection already.

I'd say if you are somewhat mechanically inclined tackle it yourself and save some dough...Thats my motto anyway

yea im usually like that. I hate paying for labor. Waste of money in my opinion. Im just not sure if this is something i can do in the garage of if it is better left to a shop

I did motor mounts on a SRT 4 b 4 and it was cake...Just jack the motor up to relieve the pressure on the mount and your good to go.

I've never seen them on a 93 sunbird but the concept is all the same for each car...I cant see it being super hard

I did all the mounts on my car with a jack and some wood. Cake.

Wheel cylinders suck balls. There's some great techniques, but you gotta know what you're doing. I hated changing mine every year, so I swapped to rear disc.

Where did you take your car to get inspected? You have an OBD-II car, so you emissions test should only consist of them hooking into your computer. Were tey doing a tailpipe test?

1993 is OBDI, so he gets the sniffer.

Mounts will be hard if it's in a tough spot. I don't imagine a sunbird would be too tough. Try somewhere else though, that's pretty gay that you failed because of beat mounts...

they are inspection items. if they're beat, they fail. that simple.

i would do them for you if i had a place to work.

I was told that the emissions requires dynotesting for it. one front mount does look a little tough. Its in front of the AC pulley and behind the Radiator. The dogbone mount is behind the radiator on the driver side, which looks simple. We will see how it goes. thats my project for tomorrow.
