Official Eagles Offseason Thread (Eagles Release Spikes)

I hate that we make a new thread every time the Eagles make a move. So lets discuss it all in here instead.

http://philadelphiaeagles.com/news/S...story_id=15199

Its a scary move, but I hope to hell we know who we are getting with the extra $5 Mill, not just hoping that we need to use it later. Would suck if we drop him and then dont get any big name recievers to bite with the extra money.

I think it was a good move...he wasn't worth the 5 million. Plus JJ is the defensive coordinator, he could put anyone in this defense and make them look good. Bradley and gaither both looked good at the end of the year. I agree though that 5 million better go somewhere good. You never know they could have a plan for that money that we don't know of yet. I'm hopeful for this season like all seasons.

GO BIRDS!!!!!

Wow, i had no clue this was even an option. I liked Takeo but the eagles are usually pretty good when letting go of veterans, so i have faith that this was a good move.

Huh, must have missed that?

I'd like to see what we can come up with with the extra money, this is certainly going to be a very very interesting off seasons for sure.

Relax, bud. When the dude with a drag Honda and a boosted daily that has had fast Honda's for years AND fabs his own parts tells the new kids on the block that they're doing it wrong, it's time to step back and learn something.

Once the season ends, i go into Eagles hibernation. I don't keep up with what's going on unless it's a big trade/release.

He wouldn't take a pay cut, and the Eagles do not value a backup at 5 mill a year. Let's face it, he was adequate at best, and Gaither plays the position better.

The linebackers will be Gocong, Bradley, and Gaither.

Ouch...bad news. On a side note, do we look for another running back? Don't get me wrong, Westbrook is by far my favorite player on the team (even if he is from Villanova), but we are screwed x10 if he ever gets an injury. It just scares me having one true option at that position.
