240sx exhaust problems/solutions/ideas?

So my exhaust recently developed a nice rattle and a nasty leak. I jacked the car up, and sure enough, the whole thing is rusted out at only 57k miles. Great.

So Im looking for a temporary remedy. After closer inspection, I found that the rattle and leak is coming from where the header meets the b-pipe. Im not really sure how its supposed to go together properly. It looks like my b pipe goes right into the collector of the header, but there are no bolts or anything holding it there. So if i grab the b-pipe and shake it, it clangs around inside the collector of the header. Its really annoying when im driving. Is there anything I can so to fix this that would be cheap and easy to do?

My other option is to replace the exhaust. Im going SR20 this summer anyway, so a new exhaust is on the to-do list. Can I use a 3" aftermarket catback with the stock KA header?

Im also looking for recommendations for exhausts. Its GOTTA be quiet. Not super silent, but reasonably quiet. I was looking at the Circuit Sports, which is ideal... but I cant really afford it. Ideally, id like to find something used but not abused... simply because im broke, no joke. Im open to other exhausts... im just not too familiar with whats available for the 240sx.

Thanks for any/all help!

Quiet, looks good, cheap, good quality. If I didn't have my exhaust already I would buy that one. And yes you can run 3" on the stock ka. There was a post on zilvia or something about how the 3" actually benefited the ka.

Did you ever end up buying this exhaust? How do you like it? I might end up getting it this summer.

I did get it, however it did not remedy the initial rattling problem. The rattling was actually part of the header, where it met the downpipe. I just stuck a mig bead on it, no more rattle. It leaks, but i dont care. Its not going to be there much longer.

As for the exhaust, I like it a lot. The tone is nice and aggressive, and not too loud (even on a NA KA w/ a hollow cat). At low rpms, its damn near silent. Most people say its even quieter once boosted. My only complaint was that the fitment was, in my opinion, sub par. The way the hangers were bent cause the exhaust to sit too far to the left, making it hit the body on every little bump. As you can imagine, it was annoying as hell. I drove it like that 24 hours before ripping it back off and using a torch to heat up and bend the hangers so that the exhaust would fit right. Problem solved, and im happy with my purchase. Id recommend it.
