I just found out that I'm leaving for Germany! My report date is at the end of the year.

I'm excited, but I have to find out if I can bring the car over or not. I gotta get ahold of Nick (Redline) and look through a couple of websites to see if I would be able to. If not, then **** I have to store the car for 4-5 years.

Anybody know any good car forums with military members that are stationed over in Germany?

The last time I was there was 1990-94. I can't wait to see the sites and eat the food again!

Congrats, my brother was stationed there in 92/93 at Rhein-main air force base. I would like to go someday I hear it is awesome.

Allie is, but she is nervous at the same time. I can understand though, it is a big move. I don't know if Malaya is going to know the difference. I know the first thing she is going to ask me is why she can't understand anybody. LoL..

If I can't bring the car then I'm going to have to sell the van and start looking for something that I can bring over.

Wow thats crazy, good luck with everything. Hopefully you can bring the car i couldn't imagine storing it for a few years.

I just found out from some people in Germany with RX's that Military is exempt from emissions test! YooHoo! Just have to pass a simple safety inspection, exhaust below 90db, no major leaks, etc. I'll keep looking around to make sure though, but from what I understand you can get someone from one of the bases to help you pass.

I've been working wierd shifts lately and it hasn't given me the time to get to any meets really. I'm hoping that they put me on regular shifts so I can make it out.

As much as I hear from other people that I work with how much they hate it here I actually like it. Call me wierd I guess, but I like NJ/PA. There isn't that many places that I can think of that has this many tracks, resources, meets. I just hope I can find something similar there.

I WILL get pics of my car on Nürburg Ring.

One of my college friends went into the Army after college and they sent him to Germany. They shipped his car over there for him. I don't know any of the details though.

Make sure you make an Octoberfest post with lots of pics.
