STRUT BARS whats the difference? 240sx

I have a 91 240sx
I want to get strut bars and I see ebay has a lot for sale
Now i wouldnt buy the cheapest ones out there but how much can someone f*** up strut bars
If i spend a lot of money am i really gonna see that much of a difference?
I dont think so
if i spend ~60 for front and back i think that wouldnt be a bad deal but thats me
I wanna hear what some of you guys think as far as $$$ vs. Quality

The weight and quality of the metal they are using and the quality of the welds. Also direct fit may also be an issue.

the ones on my car are from ebay....i think i spent like 40 bucks shipped for front and rear. the fit fine, i felt a 'slight' difference as far as how rigid the chassis is on my car...it felt like it was less likely to twist under harder cornering.

personally it doesn't make sense at all to spend tons of money on a strut tower bar. they are all gonna do the same job, and you won't notice a big enough difference to justify spending big money on a name brand.

I've always heard that its better to get a fully welded one... and if you do get one where the bar is seperate from the plates, it should be at least 2 bolts on each end... if its just those cheap single bolt ends the bar will just shift left to right and the plates tilt... if its solid, the plates really cant move.

There is a guy that runs group buys over on Nicoclub for his custom ones that also bolt to the firewall...

No problem! I think he also offers other colors for a few $ extra, been a while since I went through that topic.

I'm going to be making some strut bars but that wont be for a while... they will probably be triangulated tho. Soon doing harness bars for ZX2s (and any whatever else comes my way) since my bender and notcher finally arrived.
