Pulled the trigger... UPDATE v2

2008 BMW M3 Coupe
  • Silverstone II Metallic (will 90% change to Alpine White)
  • Palladium Silver Novillo Leather
  • Extended Leather (center console and dash)
  • Carbon Leather Trim
  • Extended Sound (insane system)
  • iPod/USB adapter
  • Premium Package
  • Tech Package (Nav, comfort access, etc)
  • Heated front seats
  • 19" Alloys
  • M-DCT (7-speed dual clutch transmission)

Week 10 build date. Picking up the car at the BMW factory in South Carolina probably sometime in mid-April. I'm going to go spank it to the order form.

Patrick

Selling my current one. Returning it to stock within the next few weeks. Most of my major aftermarket stuff (exhaust, CF body work, suspension) is already spoken for. I will be asking $35,000 as/is or $37,500 with extended warranty (until 2011 or 100,000 miles).

The 7-speed is the next version of SMG. Coupe is supposed to be 4.7 0-60 and M-DCT is 0.2 faster to 60. BMW understates these (my car will do 4.7 with a good hookup and they stated 5.2 when the e46 was first released). Most people are expecting just under 4.4 on the 6MT and under 4.2 on the M-DCT.

Only time will tell what it really does.

Thanks guys.

The M-DCT will pull on the 6MT. They are saying unless you are powershifting you are gaining 0.2 seconds per shift by going with the DCT. Add that up through a few gears and goodbye mr. manual

Yea waiting sucks. I had to wait 10 years to get my car (well, I mean I loved it when I was 12 lol). Anyways, your car will be ridiculous...

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. As for the 135i, there have been a few people on the M3Forum who have test driven it. They say it's pretty freakin' sweet.
