I'm testing for their police department today and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it in terms of crime and whether or not its a nice community, etc. Thanks.

my only experience with them has been getting popped for having tint that was too dark, which is probably one of the most retarded tickets ever. lol

Very low crime area in general. Probably more tint and petty stuff tickets are given out than anything.

I used to live and Doylestown. Not much happens in New Britain its nice and quite. The only minor troubles come from the students of Del Val College, but even then its not really much.

Well that was kinda awkward lol. 24 of 28 applicants showed for the test and only 11 of us passed lol. I scored top 10 so they are gonna run my background and do interviews in Feb. Thanks for the input guys.

are you looking to be a cop there? your probaly gonna wind up pulling people over for tint, bustin kids loitering or hiding at 2am waiting for the drunk drivers

Local townships suck at hiring, its all about who you know.
Whats the starting pay and do you your cert in hand?

lol, all of the cops that I know grew up in the townships that they work in.

weird, i live in the borough and my Dad is on the council for hiring police. their biggest thing around here is DUI's right around the NBI area. the local cops around here are cool they dont bother with dumb ****.

the chief is in charge of the interviewing. the council goes over your paper work and together they decide on who gets the job. its pretty much all up to Bowers on who gets the job.

Yea, you definitely can't do that. Plus, they just hired 2 and probably won't be looking again until the next consortium test, which I will be taking.

And Sled, Bowers seems like a really cool guy. I talked to him several times on the phone and met him twice, once the other day at the test. I'd love to work for him.

he is by far the most down to earth Cop ive ever talk to. hes 100% different from the old chief. hes not like some of the others cops around Doylestown who are high up on there horse, im better than you.

I'm the only car on the road at 2am DONT PULL ME OVER hahaha, they know who i am now cause its been going on for 2 years now untill the other night some new guy decided to folow me all the way home he made my 12 min trip home into a 20 min trip home ANNOYING!

Yeha i go through new britian to get to doylestown. Its a nice area its known for dui checkpoints and speeding tickets because it has a nice stretch of 202 with no big traffic lights.
