User - KEVIN -

I'm looking for some information on this user. I'm looking for anyone who knows of him and is not close friends to him.. I shipped a part to him months ago and he filed a complaint with Paypal saying he did not get it..

I later told him that when he gets it I would be happy to give him a partial refund because of the long ship time. He later continued and told me he received the logger and tryed to get me to send him a refund to just later find out that he was trying to get money and a logger from me..

I have been on the Forums and in the "auto" scene for years. I've dealt with hundreds of people and have never ONCE had a problem with anyone! Which is why I find this hard to believe he did not receive his part...

It was my fault for shipping it thru parcel post without a tracking # but I've never had a problem before.. So if anyone knows of him other than a friend who is going to "back him up" I'd like to know if anyone has heard anything about this.

Thanks, and sorry if this is posted in the wrong section or maybe even not posted at all. I noticed the iTrader but thats not really going to get me an answer.

-Mike

Hmm...

From that point alone, you are the problem in the situation.

And for the friend backing him up, that should be me. I have known Kevin for quite some time, he doesn't live far from me.. we went to HS together. Kevin knows his stuff, and is a legit person when it comes to business via the internet. I know this because I have taken him to meet up with people to sell parts in my truck, because they didn't fit in his car. Kevin is a legit and good seller/buyer, so don't screw over his background on TST because of YOUR mistake.

-Doug

P.S. - I know he hasn't gotten the part, I am also a reputable buyer/seller/member of TST, and I will back up Kevin 100%.

i also know Kevin and his reputation. Quit trying to make him look like the bad guy when you clearly stated it was YOUR fault for shipping the product incorrectly. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and do the right thing.

I said that I received it because it doesn't take a month for something to go from Wilkes-Barre to Philadelphia. I was fed up with the fact that I payed $105.00 for something from someone on this site locally. Given the fact that I've been out of work since July and money is tight. I'd rather get something then nothing. Even if it gets lost in transit it doesn't take that long.

For example: DSMunknown - Anthony, on DSMtuners who lives in Boston sent me a set of underhood shifter bushings. I never received them for over 2 weeks and told him. He sent out another pair and the first pair came in like another week later. And that's from Boston.

Yea yea yea I've been using online sales sites for years too.

Here's a link to my ebay: http://myworld.ebay.com/kappa692
Here's a link to my DSMtuners Buyer/Seller rating profile: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/itrader.php?u=67296
I think I have the highest feedback on that site out of 85,596 users.
Let alone the 3 from the iTrader on this site.

I know how to do business when it comes to personal sales through the internet. I've had packages lost in transit through USPS numerous times. Isn't that what the post office is known for? For example: This summer I lost a boost gauge that I sold to someone on DSMtuners. I didn't have tracking or insurance on it so it was tough **** for me. It happens, live with it.

I do not know Kevin personally nor have I ever done business with him, but somehow I really doubt he is trying to screw you over.
I have lost count how many times I have purchased/ sold something on the internet over the last few years and in doing so, have seen everything that can go wrong. If you have done as many online transactions as you say you have, then you know now easily the USPS can lose a shipment. And for you to ship a part without obtaining a tracking number, well that is just plain ignorant.

I've found that an issue like this is best handled with a phone call or a PM, not a callout thread. You will find no resolution to your problem by posting something like this.

Yeah, not to be an ass, but you can't do or ship something half assed, with no tracking #, and then basically come on here and accuse another memeber of lying about getting it, when you have NO PROOF that he did or didn't get it. You chose to send it through a medium in which you get no tracking #. Clearly you need to suck this one up, and maybe learn to use another means of shipping.

Just because you've used it before, doesn't mean it's always going to be 100% perfect. Kevin is a good guy, and I HIGHLY doubt that he would try to screw you over.

I don't see anywhere in the post that would be attempting to screw anyone over..

I find it hard to believe that he still did no receive it. I never had a problem until now.. He also tryed to get me to send him money back because he said he received the logger and then wanted to me send him money back.. I offered him a partial refund once it was received..

I'm estate4g63..

kappa692 [3:04 P.M.]: How much is a "partial refund"?
Estate4g63 [3:04 P.M.]: $25 since its still not there.
Estate4g63 [3:04 P.M.]: Never should take this long to travel in the same state...
Estate4g63 [3:05 P.M.]: When you get it you will see the date I shipped it out which was over a month ago.
kappa692 [3:07 P.M.]: Aight then i guess since im in need for money i guess i'll just take 25 bucks now
Estate4g63 [3:07 P.M.]: No, I'll send it to you when you receive it.
kappa692 [3:08 P.M.]: i got it yesterday so just send it i guess
Estate4g63 [3:08 P.M.]: Then why didn't you contact PayPal? My account is still froze up.
kappa692 [3:09 P.M.]: their's nothing i can do about that
kappa692 [3:09 P.M.]: the claims over
kappa692 [3:09 P.M.]: been over since the 22nd
Estate4g63 [3:09 P.M.]: yes there is. your the one who needs to contact them, letting them know you received the parts

Looks to me like he said that just to get money out of you since you weren't willing to refund his money "unless he received" the part. Once again, bad business on your end. If someone doesn't receive the part you sent them, they deserve a refund. How long did you expect him to wait for the part? He's suppose to just keep waiting until he gets it? What if he never gets it, then he doesn't get a refund? I would have said I got it too, just to get you to pay up like you should.

i dont think saying he got the part was the right thing...even if it was to get the money

to say you got it...usually means to the person that you got it...just my .02

i just think honesty is the only way to do business and to say you recieved something you didn't...that is your lose

True, but usps is a LOT cheaper for many items.

When people want the cheapest shipping option available, I give it to them.

In this situation, I would have used a tracking #, but I have had items take much too long w/usps before. Sometimes things do seem to get lost which really cannot be blamed on the seller, but without a tracking #, the seller is the only one to point the finger at.

i absolutely agree. As far as the price goes...i'm willing to pay the extra couple bucks to know that my package will arrive on time. Its been said multiple times in this thread that USPS is infamous for losing packages or taking forever for them to arrive.

i remember a few years ago i bought suspension off ebay for my quad which took 2 months to arrive b/c he shipped it with usps and it got "lost in transit".

i do not know kevin but i still back him up, i bought my talon form awd4g63 a year ago, when i went to look at it he wanted 5500 with everything on it, including all of the aftermarket parts, when i went to pick the car up he had taken several things off, including the logger, the boost controler and a jmf heatshield, i know its my fault for not checking that the parts were still there but hes a really shady person and i would never buy from him again.

That's shady as hell. Did you ever confront him about this?
