the quality is not so good, so here is what i wrote on the Vid

"It was a good test weekend; The viper broke the right front brake caliper, and lost 2nd gear. We had a spare transmission but no spare calipers. So the viper had to sit out this race. The SRT-4 snapped its clutch in two; so we had to over night another from PA. We had a new clutch the next day, ready to race. We learned a lot about the car and its potential!!"

And we missed qualifying, so we started in the back. Now just watch the video.

saw this pic over on honda-tech, thought the car looked familiar. must be nice to be able to go cross country for 2 races and back... thats a pissload of $ in gas

What class is this? I'm not really aware of how they set up races like this, so I'm just wondering how they categorize car races like these. Is it similar to SCCA autocross rules? i.e. certain mods put you in certain classes

Very nice that car is ridiculously down the straights. It sucks though about all the problems throughout the weekend but I'm sure you guys will get luck back on your side eventually. Ever since July I have wanted to go back to Pocono. Hopefully this summer we'll get back out there and not blow oil all over the place like last time.

Yea but since we missed qualifiying because we were replacing the clutch we started in the back with the slower cars.

the cool thing was that while we were working on putting the car back together, Chip Herr just strolls up and asked us what happened. So we must have bull****ted with Chip Herr for two hours drinking and talking about racing. and experience i will never forget.

you guys just recently went down there im guessing..i had no idea, i might have driven over to watch the race or something considering i live like a couple hours from it but yea the only way i knew it was recent was cause the x in the front bumper was gone..ha

yeah we seriously had about 5 min of track time before the clutch broke.. and then we had to fix it ... then race... missed qualifying and every thing... had to start in the back of a long ass line.. think like close to 70 cars out there for that race..

04 Turbo Spec - do you still have the broken caliper? is it radial mount? i am trying to CNC a nice bracket but I don't know what caliper I want to run yet. I am looking at some wildwood billet forgelites they're cheap as **** on summit, but I don't want to order one to find out its too hard to adapt to my bmw. Any info you've got is good.
