DMV mistake, suspended license

I was pulled over today due to my registration being up for 4 months. My fault for not paying attention to that.

But I also got hit with driving with a suspended license, been suspended for 6 months , which I was not aware of. I have a feeling about where this mistake has come from. The officer told me to plead not guilty to both tickets and to have my uncle, an officer in another township, to give him a call to talk.

I'm wondering what the worst case and best case scenario might be.

Being that I'm from a police family, grandfather retired after 27 years and my uncle currently on the force, I would not knowingly drive while my license was suspended and I would have taken care of this much sooner... so this is a nice kick in the ass

Thanks Sarge

Did you find out why your license was suspended?

I would follow what the officer told you to do. I'm sure it will turn out better that way.

I definitely will follow what the officer said to do.

I have a feeling the license was suspended due to a ticket I received for my car not being inspected, which I took to court and lost and had to pay. But I was broke at the time, literally broke, so I put off turning in the plea to the last minute then put off paying till the last minute cause I had no money. But both times my stuff was in on time, or so I thought.

I didn't get a ticket for speeding or reckless driving, I just didn't have the money for the inspection... just a series of crappy events that I apparently can't leave in harrisburg

Paid the fine yesterday at a commonwealth auto tags, so I've got my license and my registration taken care of. Now I just gotta get this ticket sent in and my uncle in contact with the officer.

So hopefully the officer will keep up his friendly demeanor in court like he did when he pulled me over.
