Anyone Good With Sound Systems?

As soon as I got my car I put my system from my old car into it. The car already had all of the wires ran. I have the JL Audio W7 with the 500/1 amp and a Stinger 5 farad cap.

It sounds amazing but theres one problem:

A few seconds after I shut my car off and take the key out the sub will hit like another 3-5 times. This has been happening ever since I put the system into the car and I'm finally getting sick of it.

Anyone on here know what the problem is/can be? or know how to fix it?

Here's a pic of the system

All the grounds are good, I ran them myself. The car had 8g wire so I changed the ground and power to 4g.
I can't get the head unit out to check the remote wire behind that without takin out some of the air condition switches and stuff.
What would I have to check for the remote wire?

Hmm...Its not uncommon for it to happen, i think it has something more to do with the head unit.

is the sub the only thing on an amp?

in my car, my full range speakers are also amped, and when i turn the car off, i can sometimes faintly hear the music continue to play for a few seconds. i always just figured it was the last of the power running through the system

its the size of the ground, its how secured they are to the body of the car

Is the amp connected to the head unit by RCA's? I always had a lot of strange knocking noises, when I used a line-out converter, or high level inputs. About the remote turn-on lead, If the amp is staying on, when the head unit is turned off, there may be some strange noises.

The neon does this when there is a strange power draw with everything off.

I can't get behind the head unit to see if the RCA's go into that or if they are somehow tapped into the rear speakers.

When the head unit turns off, the amp and power cap turn off with it.

Remote wire is keeping the amp on.

the problem is the head unit. what happens is the head unit shuts down before the amp & the sound of the internal power of the head unit powering down is transmitted through the amp and out to your sub. the solution is a turn off delay for your head unit or a switch for the amp so u can turn it on & off as necessary. u can also wire the remote lead for the amp directly to the ignition instead of the deck.
