one thing that a Pc user does that a MAc user doesn't, is installing anti-everything soft-ware and reboot every 10 min!!

Yea, I wonder when they will start attacking mac. I heard they don't because there are so much more PC users then Mac. It seems like thats changing though.

I've had my HP laptop for almost 5 years now, and it does not have any problems at all. I don't have to install anti-everything-whatever, and my computer can stay on for days without rebooting.. hell, it starts up and is ready for use with no lag at all in 30 seconds. It really depends on the person, each product is good (Mac and PC) when used properly, but some people don't know how to use PC's properly.

i used macs in public school since kindergarten, until middle school the libraries finally got pc but the computer lab had ****ty mac, when i got to high school they finally switched over. my computer never crashed since i stopped leaving limewire on and started using firefox. mac seems pretty limited. honestly id love to try linux, seems simple.

in middle school i remember the mac crashing atleast once while using it, and i was one of many to experience that.

any1 remember these from the early 90s

hold on you mean to tell me you really have to thin twice about clicking on something? i thought thats why they made the back, undo and stop features on computers? Why click twice when once is simple, faster and easier for someone to adapt to? **** i know if i click on something i dont want to have to tell the computer twice "hey dumbass, yeah i ment it go to home". If the only reason your against macs is because of that then id hate to see how your relationships are. Thats like saying you wont have sex with a girl because that even if you wear a rubber theres that .1% chance of getting her pregnant or acquiring an STD. Im not saying your that person, im just relating your reasoning.

Attention anti mac people: i think dell is looking for a new company spokesperson to do the "dude you gotta dell" commercials

yet again, its proven that mac guys think they are superior, yet dont know a whole lot about computers. lol
He was talking about the fact that you only have one mouse button. On the PC you can left click or right click, along with side buttons and mouse wheel that make life simpler.

and for the record, i like osx. Its Unix for the masses, and thats a cool thing in my book. Apple also has some nice hardware designs. But what really bugs me is their shady advertising. They make flat out false claims about things to try to make you feel hip and cool while you fork over your hard earned cash on something thats clearly over priced.

Mac has always been based on Unix... and they're trying to make it easier and easier for people to move from PC to Mac (if mac's are so great, why do they need to make it easier for people to switch...)

So yeah... Mac OS's are Unix for the masses since people really don't use Unix otherwise.

And the reason PC's get ****ed up, is because you can install and uninstall as much as you want. People go over board and end up destroying important files, downloading **** they shouldn't, etc.

The reason mac's don't require as much virus protection... is really because the userbase is too small to warrant the efforts, and not to many keep important, read valuable, information on them

having used both systems, i chose my "windows" PC. not for any loyalty. but because the hardware is significantly cheaper. find me a new mac for $400 and i'll jump on it.
i don't feel like paying a premium to be apart of a community who's members i feel are elitist assholes.

~Mookie

P.S. you 5 mac owners in the world who are cool are not included in the above statement.

i used to think there wasn't a cure for terminal neon-itis. But then I discovered a wonderful treatment, called 350HP and RWD.

I have bought 1 $700 HP laptop, and then 2 days after the one warranty expired it took a dump. I then bought a similarly priced Dell and again the same consequence. For grad school bought an $1100 iBook G4. It is now in its 5th year and I have not had one problem yet.

If I had bought another cheap PC notebook it would already be horribly outdated and slow at this point but my iBook can keep up.

As far as I am concerned I saved myself a ton of money by buying an upper level computer rather than a cheapie.

This is just my experience.
