Some pictures for work...feedback needed (added a pretty kitty in post 14)

2003 BMW Z4 w/ SMG trans...nothing beats driving a car with the top down in 34 degree weather ;)

1.

2.

3.

2007 Mini Cooper S (now turbocharged with a twin scroll) only 4k miles but automatic unfortunately

1.

2.

3.

Suggestions on improving pictures is apretiated, the better the pix, the better the sale

I know the BMW came out blurred to all **** cause I wasnt using a tripod or my good camera, but I tried to make it "artistic" and useful at the same time...I still have more cars to shoot this week, so I would like to have some pointers so I can get better pictures. There are about 25-35 per car total, I know the things I have to shoot, just need better ways of doing that.

Thanks much

shutter speed is too slow on the Z4 shots, which is why you have camera shake. Increase the iso, shoot a larger aperture, or move it out of the shade.

For interior shots, lay the front seats back and take the shot from the back seat.

Thanks man, and ilikerice...thats the kinda stuff im lookin for. I will definately try to implement your advice for the other cars I have to shoot...

Only trouble is that they want me to take my time and take the pictures to make them as good as I can, but I always have that thought nagging the back of my head reminding me that there is still more work I have to do so I end up rushing through this stuff and it comes out mediocre at best.

troof. shutter too slow and iso not high enough. also, if you have access to any type of steady object it could serve as a tripod. im not really sure what these photos are being used for but i hope they arent being used as advertisement photos. None of the photos taken would entice me to buy an already beautiful machine, if anything, it would turn me off. yea it may be harsh but thats how it is in the real world and if you're photographing high end cars you need high end photos.

well for one you could use a tripod, that should help when your shooting at in darker area's. another thing when shooting something for show would be balance. that last pic of the interior of the mini, if u leaned the seats back, and took the pic from the trunk so ur a bit further, you could get the whole dash evenly without having to take just half of the dash. oh and when u use the tripod use the self timer so u don't shake it.

There is totally an improvement. Its for a dealership i think the full shot of the car is great, it just needs a better background. The jag shot, great idea, try going head on it will show the car more and hide more of your reflection. The last shot: Interior go as wide as possible, make it look more roomy, its how they photograph houses. What kind of camera are you shooting with anyway, it looks like a point and shoot camera from the reflection?

What are you using as a camera??

If your doing interior shots try and center the whole interior in one picture, (a wideangle would be prefered here but I dont know what your working with exactly)
