Skiing/Snowboarding Trip to Jack Frost - Fri. Jan 11th - $9.33 lift tickets!

WMMR is doing their promotion again this year at Jack Frost on Friday, Jan. 11th and all day lift tickets are only $9.33... its an awesome price and I'm trying to get a bunch of people to get out there. Good excuse to go for your first time, or if you've got plenty of experience. WMMR is also broadcasting from the lodge if you want to hang out in the bar all day, haha.

Tickets MUST be prepurchased online using the link below. After purchase you'll get a printable receipt which you have to bring with you to Jack Frost the morning of Jan 11th to pick up your tickets. For more info and to purchase tickets go here:

http://www.wmmr.com/pages/pages.php?page=110

Who is going?
1) TROLL - bought ticket
2) StreetAssasin96 - bought ticket
3) TrboChicsRock - bought ticket
4) Teh Dirt
5) 97TurboDSM +1 - bought tickets
6) wakeskate
7) HKSdrift3r

Sounds cool. I might take advantage of the cheap tickets since now a days they are like $100 for the day.

but on the other hand....I went to frost only once this year and got bored after about 6 runs. I can do that entire mountain top to bottom switch without carving once and their terrain park is a joke.

Though I heard BB has a decent park this year?

if you're not carving then you're not snowboarding.

but in all seriousness, lets just be honest... the poconos suck everywhere. the reason to go is because its cheap and because you'll have a new group to ride with which could be fun. or if all else fails try to get jess drunk at the bar and then make your move. thats my plan at least...

I'd love to go but i'm a beginner and i don't have a ride up there. Anyone else just learning and can offer a ride, i'm in the northeast.

Well in that case I can carve the entire mountain and still not have fun! But you're right. The Pocono's blow hard but like you said for $10.00 I don't think I can argue.

Right down the road from my house I would be up for skiing or snowboarding but my right knee has been killing me recently. If you guys meet up at a bar or food somewhere after i'll be down just to meet some new people and whatnot but hitting the mt this season is a no go for me

What time is everyone staying until? In fact, what time are you going? Any idea what rental equipment costs?

it'll be cheaper and better equipment if you rent locally and take it up with you. it takes planning and transport but you wont pay as much, you'll get better gear, and you wont have to wait in line when you get to the mountain. not sure how much it costs either way really though.

i'm still pretty sick but if i get better i'll be there, as long as its not raining. guess we'll have to wait and see. even if the conditions suck it'll still be fun to get out there with everyone. i dont want to plan anything concrete since i dont know if i'll be too sick to make it, but someone should pick a time and location to meet up so everyone can get together either just to meet or to ski/ride together for the day.

i hate to rain on everyones parade (no pun intended) but i just checked weather.com and the forecast is calling for rain all day at JF/BB. i was totally gonna go, but i hate riding in the rain. even if the tickets are only $9.33, i cant justify that long of a drive to ride in the rain
