I don't know much about those. Do you have a hobby shop local to you?? Check the link, the shop is in Gilbertsville. Worth the drive for most stuff. Locally I deal with Action Hobby for my Tmaxx/Savage/Truck stuff.

I have a whole bunch of team associated cars from indoor carpet cars to 1/10th scale cars but all of them are team associated. i haven't been into it for years so i don;t know any good sites for you to find parts for them but Tower hobbies is certainly the biggest Hobby company out there.
I'd recommend picking up rechargeable batteries for your receiver (controller) if you don't already have some.

one18th.com is a good site for your car. Oh, first things id do is get a nice charger, and a 7 cell battery pack. http://www.maxamps.com/products.php?cat=12 4th one down. The extra cell makes the car MUCH faster. Good luck!

Well, I have an old school Traxxas T-Maxx thats not running... essentially its on hold till my car gets running, lol. Team Associated are good, but I always found traxxas and HPI to have the largest selection of "aftermarket" parts.

I've got a rc18mt with the Mamba 8000, and a 7 cell from www.cheapbatterypacks.com That site lets you design the packs and the prices are a lot better than any brand packs. I don't use it anymore if you want to buy some parts or the car(needs a new servo and differentials) send me a pm.

^ I had one that did about 70 with the mamba setup, and the truck it was barly bigger than my hand. I worked at a HobbyTown for 3 years and I did a lot of electric work so if anyone has questions I can try to help you out.
Willdue: Go to HobbyTown and invest inthe mamba brushless system and a good battery. If you gear it right itll hit 60-70, or itll be a torque monster and stand up on two wheels. If that's too pricey, Team Orion makes a nice 18th scale motor. Edit: Saw you can't get the pinion off the old motor. It is a bitch, but you basically have to pry it off by taking needle nose pliers and pulling on the bottom (don't pull on the gear teeth!). Also, when you put in on the new motor, install it upside down, it will grab better because it gets messed up coming off of the stock motor.

if you want, you can IM me on AIM. DanIsSexyHawt is my sn. I was really heavily into r/c cars for a while. If you really want it to haul, go brushless. Brushless motors can take that car as fast as you want. The top speed was actually held by an electric car at 111mph.

To all that said they have stuff for sale, please AIM me at wakostud27
Yea, I actually bought and installed the Orion Motor earlier today, played for a lil. Waiting on a charge, seems really damn quick. How do you gear them diff? My next investment, will be an HPI Drift car, juss gunna wait a few weeks. Its crazy how they actually drift them. Then Ill have one for drift and speed, and then I got my 2 trucks at my parents house, so Ill have 3 diff areas to mod haha. These things are sick and so much crap you can do to them. |

to gear them for torque, get a bigger gear for the motor, and a smaller gear for the trans. If you want top end, vice versa. The gears are listed by the number of teeth on them. Jump up or down a few teeth, it makes a huge difference. If its not already, you can also get a 2 or 3 speed trans.
