thanks again guys...

zack, I picked up a used 10d (almost mint) for 300,
compared the iq from that to the xt, and was blown away...
the 10d has less mp and way better quality... noise control is also a ton times better. There are a few drawbacks like speed but nothing horrible for a 300 dollar slr...
