Ionno i'm just under a great depression. beers and halo is making it better but i get a sudden flash back and it kills me to know how i'm such an idiot...

here is my story. in reference towards an author in which has great knowledge in what happened to me. I'm a changed man, i'm not longer the nice guy. i'm sorry, i just can't even think of being a nice guy anymore...

What happened sucks, and it does make you feel bad, but you need to suck it up and be a man. Come on, thoughts of killing yourself over a girl? Thoughts of killing yourself and then posting those thoughts on a public forum? What the **** are you thinking?

Sorry but no girl is worth killing yourself over. And I hate to be the one to say this, but generally people who are going to commit suicide, don't go posting about it 1st, at least not that I've experienced. So this kinda looks like a call for attention.

Either way, as Bryan mentioned, it will pass. I think it happens to everyone at least, maybe not feelings of suicide, but I'm sure being upset over the same thing has. Go hang out with some friends, and take your mind off it. Beer isn't going to help, because as soon as you stop drinking, it's going to smack you right back in the face. Drinking is the easy way.

I agree. Just talk to some friends and let some of the anger vent off. Drinking beer when your acting like this, isn't really going to help. I knew someone who tried the drinking beer thing, not going to mention names for obvious reasons, but he wanted to go out and kill somebody.

A lot of people that post about killing themselves do it for attention, a lot of people that post about killing themselves also do it. Suicide, and talking about it, is just about always about getting attention, even if that attention is a cry for help.


Lets define this "nice guy" you're complaining about being. The typical "nice guy" that is frowned upon is the guy that lets himself get walked all over, does everything, and usually puts his own feelings and needs on the side in order to make those around him feel better, or help them get what they want. I assume you gave her everything, catered to every whim?

The asshole is the exact opposite.

You're duty as a man is to fall somewhere in between. I'm a nice guy, but I'm an asshole. I get what I want and I make sure my friends and family's feelings are taken into consideration. I don't take **** from someone if I don't feel like it is fair for me to be taking it. Sometimes I let stuff slide, usually with strangers cause they're not worth my time or effort. Now, if someone gave a friend/gf/family member **** in front of me I'll say something.

The moral of the story here is, don't give up yourself for anyone. But give in for those people that are special, those you love.

Those are the guys women love. Confident, strong, resolute. They know what they want and they won't let anyone tell them otherwise. But you have to have compassion, you can't be a complete asshole... if you are, you'll only attract the wrong kind of girl.

I've been a listener still to this day.....yeah I haven't had a girlfriend god knows how long and I need to make a change. That blog was dead right about me if I put it into my position. All the girls I know that I want to get with always comes to me talking about their boyfriend doing this and doing that and telling me things that you normally wouldn't tell to a person but I guess I'm considered just a friend that listens. seriously, confidence is everything! put yourself in their shoes. She has someone to talk to without expecting sex afterwards. Everyone loves a challenge, that's why girls go for the asshole because they think their personality will make a difference and change the asshole's views.

Sure eventually you may find a girl that is nice and is looking for a nice guy, but theres a much better chance that she's a sidepiece for that asshole because she thinks she can make him settle down.

I used to be an extremely nice guy and I didn't get any, then I became an asshole. Like a legitimate asshole. I would argue with everyone and talk **** and do what I wanted. I got some but not a ton. Then just recently I found a happy medium and it's really working for me. Not just from a sex aspect but for everything! What I'm trying to say is that you should expand your attitude a bit and try new things.

I also refuse to believe that you deserve the right to kill yourself just because it's not working out with this girl, a girl which you probably never had a chance with to start(not as an insult). You're basically the boring guy, so get more interesting immediately.

I personally have never dated anyone I would consider an asshole...but then I'm just not that type of girl...

I'd say in the long run women (not girls) would want neither. Unless they prefer a dom/sub relationship with someone. Having a nice guy around all the time is like having a little puppy...

I gotta be honest, I hate this nice guy vs asshole debate. With a passion. The "nice guy" is always blaming the girls and the "asshole" for his problems instead of changing the, himself... that's why you get lumped into the "nice guy" category, cause you can't (or won't) find the strength within yourself to be a man.

An "asshole" isn't a man either... anyone who is abusive can not be considered a man.. they're just as much a child as the girls that go after them.

Upperguy, it sounds like you've grown up. Everyone goes through phases. I was a "nice guy" during my first relationship. It lasted 4 years. I was bummed for a week. After that I realized that this chick that broke my little heart had NO power over me and didn't deserve to have ANY effect on me. After all, I was 21 with the rest of my life ahead of me, and she was just a highschool girlfriend... big ****ing deal

That blog was the most pathetic piece of drivel I've ever had the displeasure of scanning over...

The only people that complain about "assholes" are girls and the typically defined "nice guy". You'd do best to take the following advice to heart:

A "nice guy" is typically a pussy, and women don't want what they already have. And, women generally don't like playing with assholes for very long. So for your own good, its best not to be either.

werd...i was also in a 4 year realtionship and thought life was over for a few days. but then i realized that i dont need someone to make me happy. if you cant be happy alone you cant make someone else happy.

i say that all the time, why would a girl want to date a vagina? ill tell you exactly what girls want(for the most part).

1. confidence
2. sense of humor
3. mans man. if you dont know what that is your SOL.
